We the undersigned students, parents, and concerned citizens seek to encourage the administration to reinstate an exam exemption policy for the 2009-2010 school year.

Lake Brantley High School has a long tradition of rewarding attendance and high-achievement in this way. Abandonment of this system will cause an increase in truancy and undue stress on students who lack the cumulative exam experience to be subjected to final exams each semester.

The 2009-2010 school year will be a tremendous adjustment for most students, having already been accustomed to the abandoned 4x4 block schedule; it is entirely foolish and unfair to, in addition, expect students to adjust to this new policy, as well.
