As one of 2 viable candidates(Kucinich is the other) Mike Gravel must be included in all debates. He is the only one who speaks the truth and points out the fallibilities of the other candidates. If Gravel is excluded from the debates then Freedom itself will have died in this land.

Mike Gravel should be allowed to speak at the debate. Because he does not accept money from special interest groups, he is not afraid to identify the real problems. He then gives real life solutions (which many people don't want to hear) instead of giving a feel-good fluff answer or completely dodging the question. If you have any doubt about this watch one debate. Gravel answers like no politician you have heard...and he can do this because he is not in bed with the enemy. Lastly, THIS IS AMERICA, LET HIM SPEAK!

#1229

Elijah Althoff said 10/23/07, 2:58 pm (verified)
With all due respect, using fundraising as a benchmark forparticipation in debates perpetuates the issue of money in politics. What is the justification for linking funds raised to participation ina public forum? Unlike other candidates, Mike Gravel doesn't andrefuses to beg for money and give the implicit quid pro quo associatedwith it. So he has less cash in the bank (I believe he just receivedfederal funds matching anyway, so he actually then has plenty of cashon hand). Listen to his statements in past debates and research him abit. He's the most patriotic one onstage.
