This is a ridiculous decision by NBC. Contrary to what their talking heads think, there are many people who are interested in what Mike Gravel has to say. If Mike Gravel does not participate, I will not watch this
It's dispicible what's going on in America and it's mine and your responsibility to reform, not our government anymore, but our people by which both are beyond redemption. Please never give up im trying the best I can to spread your candidacy.
Mike Gravel has proven himself a forceful and passionate speaker and the potential Democratic Presidential candidate for 2008. He should most definately be allowed to debate and participate in all Democratic debates.NBC has a duty, responsibility and obligation to the public to host the variety of candidates who are competiting to be the Democratic nominee. NBC must fulfill its public obligation to present the wealth and variety of candidates for the proper functioning of our Democracy.Should NBC continue to use unfair tactics to marginalize Mike Gravel, the FCC should be notified and a lawsuit should be filed for discrimination against Mike and political cherry picking. Voters have the power to petition the FCC to have NBC's broadcast license pulled for granting unfair political advantage and its violation of its contract to act as an impartial forum for public debate and service.
This debate needs Mike Gravel, the only candidate who doesn't answer with cookie-cutter responses. He, unlike other candidates, is not afraid to take a stance!
Please let Mr. Gravel speak at the next democratic debates. He brings a lot of wisdom to the debates and I think it is wrong that you will not allow him to attend.
Mike Gravel DESERVES to be in this debate!! He's the only candidate who's not a coward and only playing up to publicity! We need his fairness, intelligence, and bravery in these times of disarray. Please support Mr. Gravel!!
It is vital in preserving our democracy and for finding the best candidates that we don't choose potential electees based on how much money they have in their campaign pockets. I support real democracy and I support Mike Gravel's attempt to pursue the highest office in this nation. Thankyou.
NBC should have the courage to aim its programming towards the betterment of this great nation, which is based in democracy, freedom, and the need for dissenting opinion; especially when important decisions can be represented numerically in the loss of human life, our nation’s most valuable commodity. Lets exercise our rights while they still exist, and when they hit back, we'll hit harder, because we are the people of the United States, the utopian melting pot of camaraderie and equality. Can we not live up to our own standards? So let us listen to one another, let us decide what's best for our country, and mankind. The rest of the world is waiting. Mike is a blessing, do whatever it takes, my thoughts will be with you! Stop nuclear proliferation! Make altruism and humanitarianism a priority for this country.PEOPLE BEFORE PROFIT! SOLIDARITY! PEACE! LOVE! HEALTH! PROGRESS!
It is an insult to those who uphold the principles of liberty to disallow a man who singlehandedly stopped the war draft, thereby preventing your children and granchildren from fighting in a war.
Please let Senator Gravel speak. Why not? What could it hurt? Don't you want the people to hear everything they can hear? TV is founded on freedom of speech so please don't be hypocritical .
NBC doesn't want anybody who will unabashedly spill the beans about their parent company, General Electric, and the heavy ties in the Military Economy that GE has. Once again, it all falls back to money.
It is ridiculous that Mike Gravel cannot speak in the Philadelphia debate. Freedom of speech should be given to everyone regardless of their bank accounts. Mike should just show up anyway.
I support Mike Gravel to be part of the next Democratic debate on October 30th in Philadelphia to be broadcasted on MSNBC. I will boycott watching any NBC station and boycott all it's sponsors if he is not permitted to be part of this debate.
Money should never have control of our exposure to presidential candidates. That only means that we are allowing someone to pay someone else off into office.
