It is unconscionable in American democracy that responsible, well-informed canditates be excluded from our medai and public diaogue on the basis of arbitrary, anti-democratic rules imposed by media conglomerates. There can be no better example of the dangers inherent in media consolidation. We The People DEMAND to hear the voices of all responsible candidates so that they can inform public debate on issues avoided by heavily funded candidates.
The American people, contrary to the media spin, have not decided who the Democratic presidential candidate will be. The U.S. is supposed to be a democracy and the people need to hear the
opinions of all of the candidates not just the big-money recipients.
This is an outrage, I knew there was corruption in the media, but I never thought it would go as far as outing a presidential candidate. Shame on NBC and all it's backers. DO what is right!!!!!!!!!!
Just more proof what most intelligent Americans already know. There is no REAL Democracy here. Gravel speaks more truth than any of the candidates. That's why the
Choose wisely, U.S. citizens! The whole Planet depends on your decision!I am closely following all the presidential debates and Mike Gravel seems to be the only guy who hasnt been corrupted by big money, who speaks truth to power, and still doesnt want to get back to market anarchy like Ron Paul.
Senator Gravel, it seems that you are once again being censored by the mainstream media. Do not tae this lying down, fight them with everything you have. Life is always hard, you must fight for every breath and tell death to go to hell. Fight on my friend. Incidentally it would be my dream ticket to have you and Kucinich, in either order, together.
The criteria used by the network appears to be the only way to cut just one person from the line-up: that the other candidates are not coming to Mike Gravel's defense is shameful and helps further the myth there's no difference between Blue and Red.
Admit Mike Gravel to the debates. This is a democratic country and people have a right to hear all sides of the issues. He is a fomer Congressman with a wide following. There is no justification for not including him in the debates.
If the corporations and the machine government won't allow the people to legitimately take power, they will only encourage the people to take power in another way. Include Mike Gravel in the October DNC Debate and all following; his voice is important to American democracy.
A major military contractor censoring a prominent political critic of the military industrial complex? It's looking more and more like fascism every day... please let Sen Gravel participate - voters can and will ultimately decide who's
What you are doing is wrong NBC. Show the American people that you are not just a bunch of corrupt bureaucrats sitting back in your big comfy chairs smoking your cigars that were lit with the constitution. Stand up and fix this mistake you COWARDS. You can not silence reason!
I do not agree with the fact that Mike Gravel is being excluded from the debates because of money. I would rather have someone in office who doesn't take bribes and gifts and so-called
Mike Gravel is the only democrat with enough balls to speak the truth bluntly, without him who else would fluster the other candidates into even an imitation of the truth?
I need my dose of Truth in both Republican AND Democratic debates. The verbal whup-ass Gravel gives the others allows my political disillusionment to dissipate. Get this man in the debates, oh please dear God.
