Dear MSNBC,Sen. Gravel is the only Democratic candidate other than Dennis Kucinich who has the courage to address critical issues and problems the other so called front runners just want to ignore. Excluding him from this debate is criminal plain and simple.
Excluding Mike Gravel is a disgrace. When will we have true democracy? Why no forum of ideas but rather preoccupation with the horse race and who has sold their soul to raise the most money? Shameful.
Gravel is the only candidate with the experience and qualifications for the job. He has fought against unjust wars, the draft, government secrecy, and unchecked executive power. He says what he means, and backs it up with intelligence and a deep knowledge of history. The debate will be nothing but platitudes and talking points without him.
I am one of the many people tired of electing the same old politicians who really don’t care about the average American person and want to elect and hear the ideas of people who will bring real change to this great country. I am starting to view MSNBC like I view Fox Noise; a news station that has an underlining agenda other than just reporting the news. Removing former Senator Mike Gravel has become the breaking point for me. I love what Mike Gravel says even though all the debates give him the least amount of time possible. I might only be one person that big news media could care less about, but if Senator Gravel can not be in the debates in the future on your news stations I will not tune into your channel any more. I will get my news updates from Comedy Central and be more satisfied. Stop trying to make the people believe what you want them to and let all voices be heard so that “We the people” can make our own minds about our elected officials.
prove the debates are not fixed and let him or any one else for that matter run for leadership.greed only leads to destruction.its in the history books.
Mike Gravel's ideas for the future of our country should be heard. Including him in the upcoming debate is an essential part of maintaining what little semblence of a true demoncracy that we still have in our country.
this is an outrage.this action taken by MSNBC is clearly a denial of the first amendment to let people speak their mind. What!did we wake up in cuba or something?
Mike Gravel is a viable candidate who has an important message. He should not be blacklisted because he doesnt fit the type of candidate your company disgustingly condones
I'm a republican but and am writing this because I believe in free speece. Mike Gravel has been included in all debates so far and should be included unless he deciedes to drop out. Gravels got balls hes the on;y canidate with enough of them to call out Hillary which is prolly why NBC sponsors wanted him off.
Lets hear from the reasonable candidates, the ones with the judgement and the analytical talents. To wit: Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson. We're tired of the BS from the front runners.
Mike Gravel is a courageous patriot who clearly loves America. Mr. Gravel is a legitimate candidate. The Democratic base needs more real honest Dems like Gravel and Kucinich. Republican-Lites like Hillary
LET SEN.GRAVEL DEBATE,STOP YOUR MEDIA CENSORSHIP,I'M ASHAMED THAT I'M A REG. DEMOCRAT! I WILL BOYCOTT GE,MSNBE,AND NBC! THE REPUBLICANS DIDN'T BAN ANY OF THERE CANDIDATES!!!!! WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!!!!!!!!
Mike Gravel and any other candidate denied participation should participate, despite what Hillary wants, because our voice deserves to be heard, our voice is valuable and should be considered a priority, not your pockets or reputation because the American public will stand by your side if you make the right choice.
I am not happy at all that NBC has the audacity to stop Mike Gravel from speaking just because they may not like what he has to say. I don't ever remember this happening before. Whether I am opposed or for a candidate doesn't matter. as far as I know they still have first amendment rights.
I left Alaska in 1972, but I've never forgotten Mike Gravel. He is the voice in this campaign that illustrates that the Emperor has no clothes. We need him in these debates!
The life-threatening issues of global warming and international security require our best ideas as citizens; allow Senator Gravel into the Philadelphia debate on 10/30!
I will quit watching MSNBC, NBC, CNBC and outher NBC Universal related networks if MSNBC excludes Senator Gravel from the debates and I will never buy another GE branded product for the rest of my life.
Listen, if we are going to maintain our founding fathers' beliefs of everybody having a voice, then we need to keep Gravel in these debates.a democracy is not only about majority rules, it is also about MINORITY RIGHTS.
Using money as the defining characteristic of a candidate has led us to the incredible problems we currently have with our political system here in the USA.
Every candidate should be given the chance to speak, regardless of meeting a financial requirement at this early stage in the campaign process. It is my understanding that a single supporter has offered to front the entire required amount, simply to allow Mr. Gravel attend the debate, so that problem is solved in any case. Thank you for your time.
All candidates have the right to speak and to be heard. The people in this country also have the right to hear a genuine debate between ALL candidates over the issues that affect their lives everyday. I think many people in this country realize that we need to embrace a change, and what better way to start than by allowing our pre-election debates to encompass a wide range of views. These debates are at the heart of our democracy, and to limit them is to limit the changes that must take place.
It is not the call of corporate media as to who should be in the debate, and the fact that the amount of money raised is a criterion being used is antagonistic to what I conceive democracy to be. Let him speak!
