There is no legitimate Presidential Candidate Debate unless that debate involves the 70% Majority Common Population as a class and culture. Should the DNC exclude the representatives of the majority common population from the debate; then the DNC has excluded the common population from the debate. Mike Gravel is a representative of the 70% Majority Common Population; therefore, since Mike Gravel represents the 70% Majority Common Population, excluding Mike Gravel from the October 30th Presidential Debate or any presidential debate must not be done, as the 70% majority common population would not be properly represented. The 70% Majority Common Population must have a representative representing them, and that representative is Mike Gravel. With the exception of Dennis Kucinich, all the other candidates are of the DLC class and culture, that do not represent the 70% Majority Common Population. The 70% Majority Common Population class and culture must have Mike Gravel in the debate as a representative of the 70% Majority Common Population's class and culture for the debate to actually be legitimate, as there are entirely too many DLC candidates compared to the two non-DLC candidates, if the DNC takes one of the 70% Majority Common Population's candidates out, that will considerably lessen the odds of the 70% majority common population having any representation at all in the debate. Including Al Gore, the odds for the DLC class and culture are 7-2 against the 70% majority common population; and should the DNC agree with the DLC and exclude Mike Gravel, the odds the 70% majority common population will be represented lower from 7-2 to 7-1, which is not good odds for the 70% majority common population getting any representation. It is illogical to cut back Common Population representatives, when the 70% Majority Common Population have only two representatives, while the 20% DLC have 7 representatives. DO NOT BE SUCKED INTO THE DLC SCHEME TO ELIMINATE DLC C
I think that anyone seeking office should be allowed to debate. Leaving the underdog (who really deserves to be a front runner) out just violates American founding ideology.
I'm a Republican and I support another candidate for Presidency. However Gravel should be included in the debates and the media should be fair and impartial and stop making arbitrary rules to suit their agenda.
All voices must be heard. This nonsense of 'not enough fund raising' should not even be part of the consideration for an invitation. I hope to see fairness prevail when the invitation is reconsidered and sent to Mr. Gravel.
America is watching
Mike Gravel is representative of the 70% common population, therefore it is important that Mike Gravel represent the 70% common population in the October 30th Presidential Debate and whatever other debates that are held, because Mike Gravel is one of only two candidates that represent the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION. It is undemocratic to exclude the common population's representative from representing the peoples view. Al Gore is a member of the Right Wing led DLC, John Edwards is a member of the Right Wing led DLC, Barack Obama is a member of the Right Wing led DLC, Hillary Clinton is a member of the Right Wing led DLC, Bill Richardson is a member of the Right Wing led DLC, Christopher Dodd is a member of the Right Wing led DLC, and not certain but think Biden is also a member of the DLC. The DLC does not represent the 70% majority common population of the United States of which I am included, meaning my 70% majority common population representation in the presidential debates would be cut 50%, if Mike Gravel is excluded. The only candidates that represent the 70% majority common population of which I am a part is Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich, as neither are MEMBERS OF THE DLC. The DLC separated themselves from the majority population and represent only their 20% population, therefore it is of utmost importance that candidates that represent the complete common population be in any and all debates, so that all the people of the common population will be able to be represented in the presidential debates. The 6 DLC Presidential Candidates have regular media confirmation and use, but the 2 Non-DLC Presidential Candidates have very little media use and no media confirmation. These debates are their major way to talk to the people. Please DO NOT UNDEMOCRATICALLY CUT MIKE GRAVEL OUT OF THE OCTOBER 30th Presidential DEBATE or any other PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES, quieting Mike Gravel's voice will only make it easier for the undemocratic Right Wing DLC to take
Senator Mike Gravel's ongoing work for democracy via the National Initiative has earned him a rightful place in any debate or forum. Allthe 2008 Democratic and Republican candidates should insist on Senator Gravel's inclusion in the MSNBC October 30th debate. To paraphrase Senator Gravel, he brings truth to power.
Money shouldn't be an arbitrary requirement to be considered a candidate, and no candidate should be barred from debate at the risk of destroying the the point of a debate.
This is ridiculously backward. Allow anyone who wants to run for president run for president and allow anyone who wants to be represented to be represented. This is what democracy is all about.
Mike Gravel is the only one suitable for president. He is a human with hope for a country that is on a talespin. NBC stifling him shows their fear of change, their fear of human love and the hope for a better tomorrow. Support Mike Gravel, research Mike Gravel, if your morals and human love are intact, you will support Mike Gravel.
America, The land of the FREE, needs to take more than a few steps back in the direction of freedom. Our forefathers would be ashamed of what we have become.
A variety of views and healthy debate amongst candidates is vital to the democratic process. Senator Gravel speaks for truth and the American people more than any other candidate.
If Mike Gravel is not there those politicians will be able to avoid talking about what is going in Congress and keep their votes for provoking Iran out of the public eye. Please let him in so he can expose their lies. Thank you
You MUST NOT exclude Mike Gravel from the October 30 DNC debate. He adds an honest and very valuable voice. In addition, he has quallified for matching funds! He must be included!Thank you,George Samiljan
If the media isn't letting the public know about the candidates with MORALS, then the next president won't care about fixing all of the messes our nation has created in the last few years.
G.E. and NBC should be ashamed of themselves for excluding Senator Gravel from the October 30th debate. That G.E.'s company NBC requires a candidate to poll at a certain percentage or accumulate a specified amount of funding in order to included in a televised presidential debate is wholly contrary to our Constitution and Bill of Rights amounts to nothing more than fascism.I am even more disappointed that G.E.'s CEO Jeffrey Immelt, a Dartmouth graduate, would allow one of his companies to stoop to such a despicable low of what amounts to corporate censorship of a United States presidential candidate.
