The Democratic primary voters need to hear the voice of Mike Gravel, as he is consistently the only candidtate to tell the whole truth on many issues. Please included him in the October 30th debate in Philadelphia.
Chuck Todd and Chris Matthews have been trying to eliminate all but the top three or four for quite some time now. I highly resent the News/Entertainment nullifying those whom they did not chose. It is UN -American.
I am appalled that the debates on Oct. 30, requires a set amount of fund-raising money in order to be invited to participate. I am also concerned with the how the other debates were administered. You have allotted most of the time to candidates that are front runners. The other candidates are the ones that will challenge the front-runners on the real issues and concerns of the American public. Our current policies are not meeting the needs and expectations of its customers, the American voter. The front-runners from both parties are dodging the real issues of why congress is not stopping the war in Iraq . . . and now congress is doing nothing to prevent going to war with Iran. The truth be-known, most Americans don’t agree with the war, even those who know in-part the real reason for going to war. We need to find better choices for president than the front-runners, or at least influence their thinking, so we can actively change what our political policies are doing. While Gravel is far from a front runner, his ideas are extremely important, because they do come from different directions than the front runners. He and a few others like him can challenge the status quo thinking of our government.
I think that all voices should have an equal opportunity to be heard and participate in the debate. Let Gravel speak his mind - he's the only one I've heard so far with anything meaningful to say!
Let anyone who is a democrate and has declared their intention to run speak. Including him in prior debates and then not including him here is just wrong. Even if I didn't agree with a cantidate I would certainly want to hear their side hopefully to reinforce why I didn't like them. Not allowing an individual to speak only shows that whomever is in charge (in this case NBC) is afraid of what he has to say as there may be some truth behind it. Who cares how much money someone has raised? Is this an election or a sale? Last time I checked one did not need to have money to vote, so why should they have to have it to speak?
This is a joke - a candidate should be alloewd to have his opinion heard. Is this not still ostensibly a democracy??? Why exclude him for not being rich? This situation stinks to high hell and NBC chould be ashamed.
Let Mike Gravel speak at this debate. I am tired of watching the same cloned candidates who dodge important problems we are facing in this country. I cannot stand censorship, and if this is the way that MSNBC runs their programming, I will never watch them again (unless they include Mike Gravel in the debate), and convince as many people as possible to boycott everything about them. Just as I do with the FOX news channel.
This is the only candidate that I believe in. All other candidates reak of gimmicks, corruption, personal agendas, or evangelical fanaticism. LET GRAVEL SPEAK.
I was thinking about advertising on NBC for my cellular store. It saddens me to see that our government has become so corrupt that the candidates push the media conglomerates to require such BS and things as dumb as how much money you have raised, or where you have campaigned. But I guess it is what we have come to expect from a government that currently supports a war mainly for oil. Even if Gravel is not on the ballot, I will write him in!
Gravell should be given a chance - you are blocking him because he has valid points and isn't corporate sponsored. What difference does this make to you?
Mike Gravel is one of the few democrats i look forward to hearing speak. Hilary and Barrack avoid tough questions. I do not want leaders who dodge the tough questions.
Frustration! Gravel's voice needs to be heard, whether he has raised a certain amount of money or not. He carries the voice of a proportion of the public, and it is a constitutional promise that this voice be heard!
The fact that Mike Gravel is continually being weeded out as a non-item is despicable. Gravel must be included in the October 30 debate, especially for those of us who are getting sick and tired of the canned rhetoric coming from Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.Please.
It is outrageous that NBC would exclude Mike. I only watch 3 shows a week, 2 of which are on NBC. This is something I would expect from say, FOX. Come on NBC, don't sink down to this level. Lets have an honest DEBATE!
You need Mike Gravel to keep the other candidates honest and accountable lest they follow Republicans' example and remain at the trough of special interest influence.
