I am Keona's grandmother. I know she likes her very much and is sad to hear that she is leaving.

This has come to be because of a educated guess about student enrollment made in March for the following year. These numbers very often change making the need to hire another teacher before Fall. We could hirer a teacher we all learn to love only to lose that teacher again come next Spring. How are we to hang on to new and wonderful teachers when this happens year after year. Could a policy change allow new teachers to hang on to a loved position and still be guaranteed a spot elsewhere in the board, removing the fear of not being employed come Fall. WE ADORE MS. ANDREWS and wish we could have had the chance to tell her all this before she had to look for another job. Maybe knowing how strongly we felt, she might have been able to take the chance of higher enrollment come late spring.

I am very saddened to see Ms. Andrews leaving Broughton P.S. She is truly an exceptional teacher in every sense of the word. My daughter has greatly improved on her reading, math, and writing skills and this is largely on the part of Ms. Andrews' patience and passion for teaching.

My daughter is developing at an exceptional level thanks to Ms Andrews. I have no doubt of that. I feel that she is a necessary and integral part of my child's development, both acedemically and socially. The school and the community needs her here.

My grandchildren love their teacher and learned alot in these few months. Very disappointed in the removal of their teacher especially after the promise of the Premier to place more teachers
