Lauren Graham is a fabulous actress who deserves the proper recognition. Her comedic timing is astounding and she can carry off a dramatic scene with aplumb. take for example her scene with kelly bishop in season 1's "rory's dance" or her reaction last season to Paul Anka's sickness (and it's clear undertones of her alienation from Rory.) I continue to applaud Lauren every tuesday night.
