I think that people who are homosexuals should marry whoever they please. It is not right for people to get into other people's personal buisness because of a religion. Homosexuals do not get into straight people's buisness. They say it is going to be wrong for children to grow up in a house with two moms, or two dads. But frankly, having two moms and two dads could create a stronger relationship within the parents and could make the child's life better. If all Christians are thinking about is how the children will grow up with two parents with the same sex, What's the point? Divorce in this lifetime is getting dangerously high to a degree where children could be harassed, left at child adoption places, and be neglected.

well im doing a paper in school about why or why not gay marriages should/shouldnt be banned and I personally think that its wrong that people dont accept people that are gay because so what if they are it doesnt change who they are on the inside!!So why not let people live the way they want to and just let it be!!Im not old enough to get married but i fully support gay marriages!!!GAY PRIDE!!!!

Not letting gays get married is discrimination based on sexual orientation. Although I am straight myself, I cannot believe how many people out there hate gay people for no reason. I'm only 15 years old and I can't see how the adult leaders in this country have let this matter continue for so long. It is against the Constitution and is wrong in every way.

Love is love. When I marry, I will marry the person I LOVE. Not the person that other people want to see me get married to. Wether it's a man or a woman, American or Chinese, people should be allowed to get married to the person they love.

People should not judge gay people because is not fair for them and if they were judging the straight people we wont like that. Gay lesbian and bisexual should have the same rights as the othercouples. Just because religion says that suppoting gay people is bad we dont supposed to lisen to them. I'm straight but i have a lot of friends that are bisexual and gay.I dont have anything against them because i think that most of the times they are better friends than the straight people.if being gay was a crime the jails would be full because there is a lot of people like this. I dont judge them because they are pretty cool but they people that do they are wrong. i dont lisen to my family when they talk bad about them . they should have the right of getting marry and be happy.another thing about religion is that they think that any gay person will go to hell THAT IS BULLSHIT i dont think that is true i think that if you live your life good with your partner you will be ok and have no proble going to heaven well... if you are a religious person.I really support this patition because i think they should be proud of what they are.

Christian or non christian has nothing to do with it. Love is love. And if two people love each other- who's to say they can't be together in a legal bond? Babies are born without parents and are abondoned- you are trying to make it where those children grow up in an orphanage opposed to having two parents who care about them just as much. It's rediculous. I fully support gay marriage.

I am a mere thirteen year old, but you know when you're not straight, when you're different. It's not something you choose. So, if those of the gay community were more accepted, and were awarded more rights, then perhaps I wouldn't have to worry about an adulthood that I fear will be a living nightmare if we continue to act like barbarians.

I support this petition. I am straight, but have several gay and bi friends. Although because marraige was actually a christian term (I am not christian), I believe that the government should not have used that term to describe the lifelong bond between two people. We should instead have another term which neither descriminates against gender nor is derived from a religous origin.
