I think that for the PS3 to surpass what the XBox 360 has done over the past year or two, the price point needs to be decreased by another $100 or so. If that happened, I would definitely buy one and I'm sure many of my friends would follow suit. Many of them are just waiting for another drop in price.
Who in the hell told Sony most of their hardcore gamers wanted a blue ray in the 1st place? fire your ps3 marketing team sony! blue ray will not be the ultimate format of choice. bad choice sony and lower the price for cryin-out-loud. get real! i'll pay 350.00 at most.
I love playstaion and I'm waiting for the price to come down I ca'nt afford to pay £425 straight out of my monthly salary I think it should be priced at £300 this is really giving Sony a bad name and it will cost them if they loose there gamers just because of profit!!

I work for Target. We have a lot of PS3's in stock, but are not selling them bearley if any at all. I beleive if Sony Lowered the Price on the PS3 The Sales Would go skyrocketing Up and Keep going up.
In Brazil ps3 has a price very raised that cause a certain trend the search of the piracy. I would buy one ps3 and original games if the price was accessible. But so far, it ties the people of high middle class exactly, are in the lamentable wait of a cheaper form to have access to ps3 and its games. That it is the wait of the piracy. Then I ask for a readjustment in the price of ps3 and the games.

Lower the price now, or the PS3 will never have any chance of compeating whit Xbox360 Or Wii. If the price was more close to Xbox360 or Wii then the PS3 will sell like H E L L! I would surley buy 1.
I'm a big fan of the ps2 and the psp, and i would love to be able to explore the full functionality of the ps3's noted compatibility with the psp without sacrificing a month's worth of rent.
