For a lesbian growing up with few role models this show is an fantastic window into the lives of others like myself. To see it on TV is amazing and makes one like myself feel less alone in a less than understanding world. I definitly support this petition whole heartedly!!
This is an amazing show, with incredible insight into the world of gay woman. I am hooked and feel that in todays society we need a show like this airing on TV. Please bring the L word back and give the fans what they want!
Please bring the L Word back to Aussie TV! There would be higher ratings if it was on a little earlier and i know heaps of people including myself that were disappointed to hear it stopped airing on normal tv. No doubt the gay community would be glad to see that something can go our way if we speak out so please bring it back!
I have only heard about this but I have not watched it i think australia needs this, we need real people and situations rather than typical stero types on our screnes.
The whole world should have access to this kind of display of identity! I am proud to know that a tv serie like this one is whatched by so many people all over!
Something needs to be done, what happens when The L Word finishes? We need public support for lesbian shows to encourage more input within the industrarea The L Word has been not only the best thing released but the only, come on channel 7 realise a market when you see one!
Why would you not put this show in air? Yes it is an alternative lifestyle for some but for many is displays a life style that is true and afirms that people from all walks of life should appreciate each individuals choice to live their life as they see fit! I think this show actually helps gay people to be ok with who they are. especially in the younger age bracket. At the end of the day, its totally ok to be who you are. This show enforces that.
This is the only show that really helps me.. im 16 and in a really bad position.. im gay no school and love hairdressing so please put the show back in will mean alot .
The L Word is a fantastic show and deserves to be shown to all us Australiand out there. Me and my friends all watch it religiously through getting the DVDs from overseas. Bring it back channel Seven at a proper timeslot with decent promotional ads and you'll get your audience!
My sister and i both love this show, i am gay however she is 100% straight and is marries with two kids which goes to show that this program has a diverse fan base and deserves a chance to prove itself which it clearly already has done overseas as it is in Season 5 which mean it has a huge fan base, so just put it on please!
Bringing this series back would help create a greater understanding of our lives and relationships and it also gives everyone a broader range of entertainment!!!
It's a shame to your channel. Here in Portugal we are watching season 4 in a reasonable hour. I hope you, aussy can watch this soon and in a reasonable hour (12 am it makes me laugh).

I watched this show every week and since it's cancelling dont really watch tv at all anymore. I think the l word is better than any reality tv show and represents a very real part of todays society that should be at least available to those who want to see it.
