I can't believe his ignorance! After all the documentation of this massacre in the history of the war he tries to turn the SS into victims?!!! This is pure evil. What IS this man's agenda? What IS the agenda of his employers?Why does he still have a program after such grievous slander?
It is terrible, but understandable that viewers of today would rather be hypnotized by the energetic, charismatic persona of someone like Bill O'Reilly, rather than turn to learning.
This is not the first time that Mr. O'Reilly has made this mistake about the Malmedy Massacre. Does this guy ever read a book to prepare for his "assignments"?
O'Reilly is trying to wiggle out of this by spinning what he said in the so-called No Spin Zone. He should be deprived of his TV forum. He can go out and buy his own soap box and stand in the park and shout all he wants. That is his First Amendment right. That is all the First Amendment guarantees him, nothing more.
Even though Bill has won 2 Peabody awards...wait...not only was caught lying about the Peabodies but one of the POLK awards that the 'Edition' won came after Bill O. left the show***sigh***
It's one thing to make a statement that's incorrect, it's another to be wrong, to not apologize, and to attempt to brush it off as being misunderstood. You are a pathetic human being Mr. O'Reilly.
O'Reilly has made statements to this effect on more thanone occasion and every time has been corrected. He hasn't checked his facts and he hasn't stopped slandering our fallen. He needs to appologize and get his face off the air.
My father was a B-17 pilot in WWII and a patriot in the purest sense of the word, and if he were alive and across the mike from you he'd wipe the desk up with you; with his words. He would be so ashamed of you.
Bill should be honoring our troops not falsly accussing them of Nazi War crimes. The least they deserve a retraction and an apology for O'Reilly's disgraceful conduct.
