Until Fox News is held accountable for their nightly slanderous regurgitation, not just on O'Reilly's show, Americans hungry for truth will be fed a steady diet of fiction-dressed-up-as-fac t.
Come on Bill, do the right thing. Apologize to the American Heros you have wronged.
Fox News management must require Bill O'Reiley to appologize to every living member of the 285th Field Artillery Observation Battalion of the US Army who served during WWII and every single living family member, the entire US Army as a whole, and to the American People for continuing to perpetrate this slanderous lie.
Then he should be fired.
If Fox News is the "patriotic" voice it poses to be, then it must take immediate steps to right this ongoing lie.
What a scumbag? He uses the deaths of American soldiers during WWII to support his right wing position that we shouldn’t criticize the military or the government. The problem is that we aren’t criticizing it enough for this administration’s incompetence.
As a disabled veteran, I am shaking with anger and have tears in my eyes. People have lost their shows for a racist or sexist remark- this .... man?... should never broadcast again.
I support this petition because I have two relatives in the military and hope that Mr. O'Reilly will not slander them the way he did the victims at Malmedy.
I am a military veteran and while I like O'Reilly's show, he must get the facts straight about the SS massacre of US troops - it was not the other way around!!!
O'Reilly should be demanding the resignation of those responsible for the mess in Iraq, Buch, Cheney and Rumsfeld rather than trying to defend the indefensible.
I am the grandson of
1. a Ardennes veteran wounded in action at Bastogne
2. a veteran of the North African air campaign
3. a Navy nurse who treated wounded of the ETO
4. and the great nephew of a Marine who landed on Tarawa and Saipan - twice wounded.
Mr. O' Reilly is himself the deepest, most shameful embarrasment to our nation that has occured since Joe McCarthy.
If you don't remember, Mr. McCarthy falsified his service record and then attacked the credentials of others.
Mr. O'Reilly, you are a liar and a sham. And your ratings show it.
Mr. O'Reilly,
That you would continue to heap false accusation on the troops of the US is an abysmal abuse of your status as a member of a purported news agency. We have a right to expect, at least, a modicum of responsibility from people in your position.
Additionally, to equate the actions of soldiers who may have violated the rules of surrender with soldiers who attacked unarmed and uninvolved civilians is repugnant and disrespectful to those of our citizens who wear the uniform of the US and proudly and aptly serve this country and its interests.
I am appalled that you cannot find the courage to take responsibility for your actions.
