It is very stupid that a game is banned for stupid reasons. Wh ohell these boards are to decide what we are supposed to play or not. I guess this is jus ta lame attempt by them to make themselves look important
I am shocked to day the least. Sony release the first Manhunt with no problems and they also supported GTA: San Andreas when it got an AO rating. Why should this game be any different. I want to play this game the way the creators intended.
This ban is a hypocrisy and it masks the true causes of violence, be it deliberately or not. The true cause lies in education. A person that is well educated through school as well as by his parents won't use media material (like games) as an example to commit all sorts of violence.

Manhunt is a sadistic full of blood ... ba bla bla. So what? Many films and books are and we can buy theme in not censored edition so why we can't this game? This is stupid. I am not a fun of Manhunt but i am 100% against censoring games. If they are brutall then sell theme to adult audience.
I find it highly insulting that I can watch 18 rated movies, read adult rated material and watch 18 rated Television programmes but not play 18 rated games. LIFT THIS STUPID AND POINTLESS BAN !!!
I don't see a problem with this game being sold at all, its clearly meant for adult audiences and thats reflected in it's age rating. If it were to be banned, it's just more evidence of today's restrictive society deeming what we can and cannot see/possess (Communusim anyone?)

The ESRB has over-stepped their bounds. AO? Just head on over to the ESRB website and see what other games have received AO. There was only one other game - Thrill Kill - that received a rating of AO based on violent content, the rest are all strong sexual games. I want this game released and uncut.
We are losing are freedom of choice. I should be able to choose to play and witness a game regardless of its nature. Besides, from what i heard, its not much different from the original Manhunt and that got an M rating. Either the console makers should change their stance on games and allow AO rated games, or this rating should be reviewed and Manhunts rating should be used as a reference.RELEASE THE GAME AS IS!!!!
Please allow mature game players the right to decide what they want to play. All this game needs it distinct warnings so people know what they are buying. There is no evidence that violent games create violent people.
As a resident of the UK i have always thought that we had been treated fairly when it comes to the censorship of media. But now it has gone too far and to not be able to play an uncut copy of this game would be breaching the rights of what many of us as individuals believed we had.
Education is a more appropriate action than banning. Strict enforcement of age restrictions and informing parents what is really in the game will hopefully discourage them from purchasing it for their children.Adults however should be allowed to enjoy art/media however they wish.
