I'm all for the 2 skus idea. It wouldn't be that hard for the makers to censor out some things and release it as M. But when it comes down to it we can see all the same things in movies and when was the last time you heard of a movie getting banned from a whole country. It also wouldn't be that hard to have the stores do there job if they don't want little timmy picking up the game a last we all know any 8 year old kid can walk in any wall mart, best buy, game stop, etc pick up a hand full of M rated games and no one would raise a stink. They really do need to just get over them selfs and let us have our senseless violence in our video games the same way they do with our moviesDark-Side of Xbox100.comJames Cumberland
As an adult I know the difference between fantasy and reality, I find gory things quite amusing and so do lots of people. We don't take horror seriously!!! Release the bloody thing. (no pun intended)
Censorship is wrong, whether from a government or a corporation. The public has the right to choose what kinds of games it wants to buy, and companies banning an entire category of games based purely on a very ambiguous rating runs counter to that. The release of an uncut Manhunt 2 is an ethical imperative.
Whether you call it Adult or Mature, the message is clear; the game is NOT meant for children. I'm not a child, I can decide whether or not to play/view/experience extreme content. The solution is simple; M/AO titles to be sold to adults only, console makers shouldn't get involved in censoring content.
I am 25 years old and if i want to buy a game for 18 yo and older let me.. it should at least be allowed to be available for us that want it..don't take the option away..you don't take the option away for me to purchase unrated or XXX movies
Game worlds are places of fantasy, indulgence and extremity. Right through from Manhunt to The Spongebob Squarepants Game (based on the hit movie). More effort must be made on finding the source of the problem, violent people, not violent video games. If a person cant see the difference between playing out the actions of a character in Manhunt 2 and the reality of daily life, they have a problem far worse than any act you commit in an extremely indulgant fantasy.
this game should not be banned in the UK, i live in the US but still this is unfair to rockstar games, its their creation and there are much more graphic games out there then this one must be if its anything like the regular Manhunt
This is a blatent act upon the consumers responsibility, as parents, teachers, and role models to their respective children. When you take away choices from us as consumers you start to go down a path that no longer listens to the people as a whole but of the people of a minority e.g. the noisy wheel gets the oil. but when the others try t o fix that with a compromise even, it becomes to late and is ignored. yes i know my grammer isn't that good or even my spelling but i don't claim to be a writer so please don't expect me to write like one in order to voice my openion and those of the others who signed this petition .
I am an Adult.. let me choose what my child plays not the government. plus.. i want to play it. And it will NOT be played by my child.. I AM AN ADULT!!! TREAT ME AS ONE!!!
SIGN THE PETITION FOR HIDDEN PALMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 PlEASE i signed this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wat idiots! this game will actually decrease violent crime as the people who would usually commit these crimes will be able to do it in the game instead!
It is extremely unfair, and as a coincidence, I just bought Saw 3 uncut, they think this will make kids into killers?, Saw 3 is more likely to cause kids to grow up disturbed
