Dov' è finita la libertà di espressione? Se è per i bambini, perchè i film violenti, la por.nografia ecc. la commerciano vietandola ai minori e manhunt nemmeno così?? Perchè porta soldi ai 'benpensanti' al governo, ecco perchè
Go masturbate on some other problem like finding nuclear weapon of mass destruction in iraq...and we are the violent one...ppffahahahah don't make me laugh...
i'm old enough to make my own decisions, and i feel my right to do so has been violated, i don't need someone telling me what i can and can't buy this is comunisem as it's finest what's next banning pop tarts because they arn't as neutricious as cerial
This is a dangerous slop if this game does not get released Un-Cut. Video games need not be censored. Amierican freedom of speech is kind of a joke these days. Take pack our rights.
I understand what the ESRB is trying to do, but come on this is ridiculous! The gaming industry isn't consisted of little children, we as adults get tired of playing the little watered down kiddy version of something that could be creative and adrenaline pumped action. It's not that we want to condone or promote violence it's just we would like to play what developers actually envision. I mean some of us would probably have the same ideas if we knew how to make games since we know as
We (adult gamers) CANNOT be told by ANYONE what we can/cannot play. Games are rated just as most other major media is. From there it is up to PARENTING to keep these games out of children's hands, not ESRB.
Don't punish the older gamers unless you punish the movie goers, the music listeners and the like. Let me play what I want and what I see fit to play. Don't think for me.
Banning this movie in the UK was completely unreasonable, and the AO rating was unwarranted as well, especially when movies are released that are at least as graphic, if not more so.
There are far more damaging films that have been released, and more powerful literature. The ban comes across to me like a piece of bandwagon jumping, and I disagree with it wholeheartedly.
this is ridiculous i loved this game and personally i am very saddened to see that it is going to be cut down and i know that the whole time i play the game im not going to like it as much because i know that it is not at its full potential like it originally was supposed to! but no ur going to have cut the game down to its prime and prob take away all the good violence that we wanted to see!. if a kid is going to imiate a video game! wouldnt he of already of done it? i mean most game are about killing!? soo why do they not blame the industry? but instead blame an awesome game! i love rockstar and i hope u guys continue to break boundary's and push violence and video games to the next limit. good luck and i hope u can release this uncensored if not then what the hell kind of free country is this!?
It is unfair to the adult community completely that parents of young children are not responsible for what their child sees or hears, and it is even more unfair that us who cry out for the entertainment that WE want is snatched away because of those irresponsible parents. These companies are unfair, racist, sick, and all deserve to be taking out of their position for their attempt to limit exactly what WE the PAYING consumer is allowed to view and not view. We the holders of currency which is stained with the blood soaked freedom which our solider die for have the RIGHT as AMERICANS to spend it on ANY product we see fit. This includes games, movies, and music which have strong violance, blood and gore, strong sexual themes, and even drug use and NOBODY has the right NOT EVEN the companies to tell us otherwise. I also feel strongly that it should be made a crime do even try to snatch away the very right that our brothers and sisters died for in those bloody trenches. So in short.. Give us what we want and unban Manhunt2, and leave it untouched, unchanged.
The ban violates our basic rights at the very least, the government needs to act on this unjustified cencoorship in accordance with article 12 of the human rights act freedom of creative expression, the hell with those doubt standard political influenced overpaid innacurate board
By refusing to classify this as even an 18 you effectively outlaw and censor it from ever being played in the UK. And personally, as an 18 year-old gamer, I would like to question that decision. By all reports from videogame critics, both online and published, the game is no more violent than it's (admittedly controversial) predecessor, which was allowed an 18 certificate, and while I can see there is a difference in the far more physically interative Nintendo Wii version with its motion-sensor remote I can't understand what the Sony PlayStation 2 version does to deserve 'banning' when the previous game on the same console did not. This game has been 3 years in the making by, what I consider is, the best videogame development team currently working. I consider it art, and as insubstantial and debatable as both that statement and the concept of 'art' is, I can't see why you see fit to make a great example of videogaming illegal. As you may have worked out from me mentioning that I was 18, I was not 18 when the original game was released, and yet I play it on release and enjoy it as one the best games I've ever played - which I can assure you was not because of some macabre joy in the heavy violence and gore counts but simply because of the gameplay dynamics, and the atmosphere of the game which was more intense than any supposed 'survival-horror' games I've played. Now I tell you all this not to present myself as the poster-child (so to speak) for allowing under 18s to play Manhunt 2. My parents made the decision that I was mature enough to play it, but many teens might not or be too suggestible to be subjected the levels of violence in these games. My problem is that by not even allocating this film an 18 rating you take that decision away from parents or any mature adult who wishes to play the game. I sincerely hope in the future you will re-evaluate this decision, and not just because of how anxious I am to pl
Seriously, all this foolishness that we non-retarded consumers have to put up with is completely unneeded. If you have to, modify the game to get it out into the market, and then release an AO version attainable via your website or such. All this simply stems from the fact that the media got attached to the fantasy that shooting someone in a video game warps your mind into that of a killer's.Thank you Jack Thompson to seeing to this.
