Just because its a AO rating shouldn't mean it should be banned. If thats the case then why don't people try and get movies like Hostel banned. Manhunt deserves to be released as it should have been.
i 100% am with u guys as i have the 1st 1 and it hasnt made me feel like doing it for real id rather take my stress out on a game than in real life so y r they banning games k=like this its pathetic the ppl that rate these games clearly arent gamers at all as they dont understand these games are a way out for some whoo r stressed out at work and soon wat they gonna do ban every game that has a knife in it or 1st person shooters next they gonna say in all shooters are gonna have to be water pistols and enemys have to be happy faced flowers and mission is to water them til they aint smiling this i pathetic stop being boring old farts and let us choose and also u shud get shops to strictly ask for i.d on ppl buying games 18 as i seen kids buying games and we deserve to have a choice in wat we play and films have worse violence than video games so whats the difference ??
Video games cant be blamed for the action of thinking human beings responsible for making their own choices. When a video game specifically targeted for a mature audience is purchased by a cihld or the parent of a child that is their choice and their responsibility, not the games creators
This is nothing more than a game. Why should us gamers who have anticipated this games release, be punished because some parents are too stupid to realise this game isn't for children? The Adult Only rating isn't any different from the 18 rating in the UK - it simply means that anyone under the age of 18 cannot buy the games. Yet Sony and Nintendo slap a
Very disappointed to know Sony and Microsoft don't allow AO rated games on their platforms. These platforms, which have been for so long targeted on adults as much as on children.
let adults have adult games, people are interested in horror games, and havin a system in place for preventing them making it to the actual market is appaling...
Release the fu(kin' game, or eat a dick. Your call. If people can't deal with nudity there is a bridge not far from you. It's tempting as you waste your life away.
Games should not be held responsible for american kids going on a killing spree at school. If it only happens in America, it must mean something, don't you think?
The BBFC should not have the power to ban anything and they should ONLY classify material. We all know that Manhunt 2 is not worse than the first title released some time ago and yet the BBFC find it appropriate to ban this. Why? Does the political and media pressure have nothing to do with this decision? I doubt it.I say strip the powers that the BBFC has to ban ANYTHING and let's keep the board only for classification purpose. As a man of 39 years who has been exposed to violence in many ways (movies, books and games) I do not need a bunch of baby sitters to tell me what to do and not to do.
i just think they are going to ban this because of children playing it. but it is up to their parents wether they want to play it or and if it is a AO rating then the shops will not sell it to children. plus there is even more worse stuff on the net than the game and people dont go crazy about that
the ban of manhunt 2 is pathetic, games dont make psychos. and they do not influence people to do this. if a person is influenced by a game in psychotic ways then that person shouldnt be out in community anyways. come on ratings boards and all the people behind the ban, just please grow up and stop blaming games.
How can they ban a game that depicts acts that can be seen in movies that pass easily with an R or 18 Rating, and they have a much more realistic depiction of the event. We should be free to choose the media we consume and too many people are picking up the bandwagon that games cause killings. This will never and can never be proven - cause I watch hostel doenst mean I want to go around butchering people afterward. If I was already mentally disturbed enough to think that then maybe it would give me ideas, but out of millions of people who experience a game only one link needs to be found and suddenly it is scapegoated. As is the case here after Manhunt 1 .
Release manhunt 2 or sony and nintendo will lose a lot of consumer confidence on this i'm sure. what with all the hype being produced and all. Paranoid people worried that its gonna produce another columbine shooting will prolly cause another similar incident just by making this all a big issue.
WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY ANY VIDEO GAME WE WANT AT ANY RATING. HELL THEY EVEN MADE A GAME OF PLAYBOY... HOWS THIS WORSE.... WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO PLAY THIS
Why doesnt the same rules apply to video games, as they apply to the movies?Keep Mankind 2 unbanned and intact - it's a state of art game. There are by far worse movies from the gore genre, and nobody rised a batalion yet.
The consumer should be able to delegate whether they want to play the game or not.. and they have that choice.. no one is forcing them to play the game, its PURELY THEIR CHOICE to purchase the game or not! And its up the RETAILERS NOT to sell Mature games to under 18s!Keep the expression of art free - or otherwise we'll be losing another part of our freedom.
