We are asking for your support on legislation in Manitoba to protect anaphylactic children.

The proposed legislation will provide provincial standards for proper management of life-threatening allergies in schools and day cares for the 2 to 4% of students at risk for anaphylaxis.

Anaphylaxis can be a fatal allergic reaction. The treatment is immediate administration of epinephrine. Deaths occur when the reaction is not recognized and when there is a delay in administering epinephrine.
