Tyrone Lovett ought to be charged with endangering the welfare of a child. I support the not guilty verdict. Joshua shot at an unarmed Lovett? Lovett was armed with AND using a vehicle.

Marishka Lovett was denied justice by the State of Florida and it's Wild Wild West gun toting laws, and three men who lured Mr. Lovett with clear intent of a final confrontation.Mr. Walsh's brother had time to call him for help but couldn't dial 911 or stop at a police station, firehouse or some public place. Give me a break this man got away with murder 1 not murder 3.
This is not a black/white issue. It is a HUMAN issue!! How about O.J. Simpson? He kills a WHITE woman and a WHITE man, then gets found not guilty by a BLACK jury. Come on AMERICA!!! Let's stop the racial stuff and see that this precious little girl was innocent, and our system let the TRUE GUILTY party, namely her dad get off. I feel the defendant should've been made to do a LENGTHY probation/ community service/counselling teens abiut the dangers of guns, BUT i feel he should NOT have been sent to prison, since the girls father was the instigator of this matter.
Instead of charging Mr. Walsh, the father should have faced murder charges... he could have ended the chase at any time and chose not to do so, therefore placing his daughter directly in the path of danger. If Mr. Lovett had wrecked his car while driving under the influence, and killed his daughter or some innocent driver on the road, he would have been charged... therefore, he is more guilty than Mr Walsh, who had no idea that there was a child in the vehicle !!!
This is so sad. The poor child was failed by everyone. Her father acted very irresponsibly, but there was no cause to shoot into the back of a car. mr. Walsh should have been punished.
I just learned of this incident while watching CourtTV. A sad, disgraceful case all around. Everyone failed this child by being irresponsible. She was the least culpable person involved, yet she was the only one punished. God have mercy!

Tyrone Lovett has to share of the responsibility in this case. Had he not been drinking and trying "chase" down the other guy, it would have never happened.
I support this petition. I am appauled that that jerk wasnt sent to the electric chair for being so irresponsible.. That poor little child...i pray she is withthe angels.
Tyrone Lovett was my basketball coach in High School, in which, he mentored and inspired many pupils, such as myself. Since then I've gone on to complete my B.S. at Florida State University. He's a great guy that didn't deserve the wrongful murder of his daughter. Please direct as many people to this site to petition this evil act of wrath. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. This is certainly unjustified. Imagine if that was your child.
I support this petition. It seems that the courts have become a joke. They don't stand for justice anymore. The courts are sending out mixed signals. If you're guilty, you should pay.
We ought to be looking into the relationship between Judge Hale Stancil and Josh Walsh...twice he has let this man walk after the jury found him guilty in two different occasions and yet both times the same judge threw out the verdict. The cases smack of unethical, immoral power in the wrong hands. Wonder How much the jduge earsn each time he throws out a verdict?
I am truly curious as to why the 10, 20, LIFE statute does not apply in this case. (Pull, shoot, kill or something like that.) What else would have had to happen for this guy to suffer some punitive ramifications under our judicial system? School me.

Why does everyone always have to bring the race card into it? Quit assuming the role of the victim. The fact of the matter is that HER FATHER CHOSE to pursue the car with a child and an elderly lady as the passengers. THAT was what initiated the event. It is a shame and Mr. Walsh should get some sort of punishment for killing an innocent child, but so should the father. He had equal involvment.
It saddens my heart. Everyone was guilty father included but as for the resulting death of a child, it was un called for. Being black means having no justice. The only justice served is the one God fights for you.
Remember your baby girl and put this all is the hands of the one who created her in the first place. The justice God gives ain't nothing like mans.
U do need the NAACP to step in. And the Judges that are playing God need to be investigated as well. THe saying is true "birds of a feather flock together."
I have been knowing the Lovett Family for a very long time. It is a terrible shame that had to happen to such a little angel. If Tyrone Lovett would have shot in their vehicle and killed one of them, you bet he would be in prison now. Justice was not served.
I think its an outrage that innocent children are not even protected by our "justice" system. Too many cases go unnotice, and thank you to the Wake Up Posse for being on the lookout and truly serving our community!
When will justice be served? Marishka was an innocent young girl who was not able to grow up and enjoy life. People, of all races, need to bring justice to Marishka and her family!
I think that this verdict is a horrible decision. He needs to be punished for taking that little girls life. I bet if the race roles were reversed the verdict would not have been the same
This is a very sad situation for this family. And, even if Walsh is able to avoid man's punishment, he won't avoid God's punishment for taking this child's life. How unfortunate it is to see him not charged for this crime.
I think that white man got off without anything when he should have served time because if it was the other way around the black would have went to jail for life...
I think it's a bunch of #@*%. That was a beautiful 5 year old baby that will never get to live her life and he still gets to do what he wants. A BUNCH OF CRAP!
Coming from another state for some type of change for the better and only realizing that this state is some what worse than others is unbelievable. I cannot imagine why a guilty man knowing all the facts that state it's true would be found not guilty. A little girls' life has ended because of a rage. So that's it.. not guilty you can do whatever you want and be set free. Now I know that it's okay to kill a little girl and shoot a finger off of another persons finger just because of anger. The system in Florida needs a lot of changing. My heart goes out to the Lovett family.
