It is sad that the "good old boys" network is still alive and well in Florida. Although God is the ultimate judge, we must not allow this to go on without a fight.
I feel that guy should go back to prison and stay there. Just because he got road rage is no excuse to let a little girls life to be taken, and him go free.
That's not even cool. People should be able to make better decisions than that. And whether or not the case reamins the same Marishka still died and some one had to pay for that.
We have not made much progress as a nation when an innocent BlACK girl is murdered and the Justice system sets the murderer free. We have to unite as a people. It's the only way to win.
I used to work with Marishka's mother and I remember when this happened to her. Her mother is such a sweet and kind person, I was shocked when I heard this verdict. No one will ever know what her mother went through, I witnessed it firsthand.
It's a shame that this country is still letting race determine the value of someone's life. If this child was not part african american and was only white....what would be the verdict?
I think the leagal system needs to be evaluate real close. I feel justice was not served in this case. My heart go out to the family, because I have a 5 yrs old son. God has a plan when you mess with his little angels.
I am sorry for the Lovett family and the loss of their beautiful little girl. I have three girls myself, one of them looks so much like my daughter Dasia that it makes me sad to think about poor Marishka. Rest in peace to Marishka Lovett.
This is our leagal system at work! it makes me sick every day. Ask yourself if Marishka was white and josh was black would the verdict have been the same?
