We as a whole have to stick together. This is another case of being black in america. Please people do not take our rights as a people for granted. We will miss her in our hearts but she will live forever in our prayers. Always thinking of you Quen.
The Laws are unjust. This is an example of poor justice in the Justice system. Lets hope this judge has trouble sleeping, knowing that a killer is on the loose. Did anyone ever ask WHY this poor excuse for a man even had a GUN!.... GOD BLESS THE LOVETT FAMILY.
First of all, I would like to thank each and everyone that has supported since the tragedy in Feruary 1,2003 and signing this petition regarding the unlawful verdict that was given on August 5,2005 on the death of my lovely and beautiful daughter Marishka Lovett. I asked that each one advise and encourage as many people to support me and my family by signing up for this petition so that I can lay my head down at night and knowing that I have people like you guys that care and not going to stop supporting me until we get the justice that we believe that is right. To the Lovett Family I say "stay strong" and believe in God for he will have the final judgement. Just know that Joshua Walsh's crime will haunt him for the rest of his life. It he doesn't have any remorse, just belive that his crime will not go unpunished. Keep beliving and trusting in GOD for he will have the final say. Your family will always be in my prayers. To the Lovett Family: Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. It is sad to say but we live in a perversed and crooked generation,but we serve a great god. For all his way are JUSTICE a god of truth and without INJUSTICE. Righteous and upright is he.We have heard that it was said, you shall not murder and whoever murder will be in danger of the judgement.If we have faith in god as small as a mustard seed. We can say to the Walsh family "For the lord laughs at you, because he see that your day is coming". Family and friends rest in the lord and wait patiently for him.
My heart goes out to the family of this little girl what a beautiful angel by letting him go no justice was serve they need to assign another Judge who did not know this killer and I know he would have not got off so easy I hope this petition get the parents of this little girl justice take care God Bless TJ.

Justice was not served, this decision was unfair to the Lovett family and little Marishka. I hope by signing this petition we as a community can make a difference.
Justice has NOT been served. What do we need a jury for it the judge is going to overrule their decision. The man admitted he had the gun and fired into the car! Do the crime serve the time!
How is a possible for someone to get off for killing an innocent child? He was trying to kill or stop someone when he shot the gun. Just because he got the wrong person does not make him innocent.
I HOPE THAT I CAN HELP THAT IS CRAZY THEY HAVE MY COUSIN IN JAIL FOR SOMETHING THAT WASN'T EVEN PROVEN NOR JUST FOR THEM TO HAVE DONE FOR ALMOST LIFE, AND THEY LET THIS GUY GO PLEASE.... I'M MORE ANGRY THAN WORDS.
This is one more opportunity to show Black America how bias the justice system is when it comes to protecting our people. Self defense means protecting yourself because your life is in danger, not you are afraid your life may become threatened. If the roles were reversed and a black man would have killed a white girl, under the same circumstances, he would have been charge with first degree murder, given the death penalty, and all appeals would have been denied. And Justice for ALL. Wake Up Black America, One Black Man in Chains and We are all still Slaves.
If this was my little girl I would raise hell in the courthouse, this is an unfair sentence and the ruling is another ridiculous sentence by our justice system.
Sometimes youhave to speak up against injustice. Maybe this won't help bring justice to this case but maybe the next Marishka will have justice in her favor. I can not understand how a person that feared for their safety calls a family member and not the police. Because you bypass the law you need to be held accountable for your actions. The law still says 10-20-Life. May Justice reign. God Bless the Lovett family. Prayers for all those involved in this case.
My heart hurts for the family of little Marishka. Her life was taken on no justice has been served. At least give this family the closest thing to closure posiible. My prayers are with the Lovett family. God Bless
