There is no way he should have gotten off on this charge. By shooting a gun he planned on injuring someone - he in fact killed an innocent child. Hopefully someone one in self defense will send Joshua to where he belongs.
What is happening to our justice system? People who commit a crime because of road rage need to be punished for their action. Maybe that would teach them to control their emotions.
This is an outrage! There could have been better choices that night but allowing someone to get away with killing an innocent child is not a choice it's a license to kill.
How could Joshua not be guilty? The life of a precious 5-year old was snatched away. There is absolutely no way this type of action and verdict can be justifiable. I pray that the Lord will give Marishka's family comfort in knowing that His Justice will prevail. Joshua, and every individual who was involved in this unjust decision will ultimately pay.
SUCH INJUSTICE!!! It seems that the racial injustice has prevailed ONCE AGAIN. The jury should not have another peaceful night of rest.What if they had lost their innocent daughter in this type of drama. I'm sure they would want the murderer to pay the price.
The simple fact that he shot at a car over a "road rage" incident is an outrage in itself. The fact that an innocent young child was caught in the cross fire makes me ill and someone needs to be held accountable! I am sad to say this, but am I correct to assume Joshua is white? This is a correction to the first petition. Joshua Walsh should have been charged with murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and shooting into a vehicle. Tyrone Lovett was unarmed never got out of the car. He killed an innocent child, left Sandra Vickson finger was shot off and Joshua wasn't charged for not one thing. He had no remorse for killing a person. He must be punished for his sins. God have mercy on his soul.
Unfortunately this verdict has sent a message of doubt and distrust toward a system designed to protect our basic, civil rights. It certainly appears that the Walsh family was afforded the opportunity to benefit from a system that charged the Lovett family the ultimate price of life. We can hope for justice on this earth, but God will certainly grant it in the end. My thoughts and prayers are always with you, Leggo and Felicia. Be stong!
This case should have gotten a GUILTY verdict against Joshua Walsh for murder. I feel that if the colors had been reversed on the victim and accuser there would have benn a different verdict. It is a real shame in this case of a young child dying. The judge should be fined or suspended fro this case. it was cut and dried, a murder.
I just pray everday that the Lovett family will get the justice that they need. & it just show's that things have not changed and WHITE PEOPLE STILL HAVE SOMETHING OVER BLACKS AND THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE CASUE OF OUR GOVERNMENT

road rage is unacceptable and people should be held accountable for their actions.an innocent life was taken and this man should pay the price for taking her life. i have three young children ages 3 to 6 and if something happened to one of them i would want the person to pay for taking them from me.
Taking a innocent child's life or any person like should be imprisoned for life. The state attorney's proved the killer guilty and he should have been acquitted on all charges. And any one agree different should be convicted in their hearts and an innocent child. Just think what the parents are going threw, they are so stressed out that they haven't been able to conceive another child.
All the evidence in this case was proven guilty and the life of Mariska Lovett was taken unfairly. The penalty of sin should be punished. Walsh never said he was sorry and had no remorse for any of his acts. He should have been acquitted with all three charges, he was proven guilty.
Our justice system failed us horribly! I can't beleive people can murder other people in today's world and just walk away like nothing. My heart breaks for this little girl and her family.
