The undersigned do hereby request that the Rochester District Court impose the maximum allowable penalty should the defendant be found guilty of the offense. The true reflection of society is shown in our treatment of animals and our aging population. To disregard the malicious attack on either of these populaces only goes to enhance future abuse. To merely impose a small fine and nothing more would surely only enhance the opinion that individuals can continue to heap abuse and neglect on those most helpless. We implore the Rochester District Court to do what is right in this case and make sure all within their jurisdiction recognize they will not allow such behavior.
