We the undersigned students wish to express our deep dissatisfaction with Melbourne Business School’s policy to scrap the production of printed educational materials.

Reading packs are a fundamental element of the educational experience. They provide students with a convenient resource that may be retained and referred back to for years to come.

A recent survey completed by 278 current MBS students found that they overwhelmingly (82%) prefer to have access to hard copy reading packs. Of most concern were the comments by many students expressing the view that this and other recently announced policies reduce their overall opinion of the school and their willingness to recommend it to others.

We request that reading packs be reinstated as soon as possible and no later than second semester 2009.

We further request that the Board provide a written response to the MBS Student Representative Council at your earliest convenience.

We thank you for your consideration of this important issue.

It is much more efficient to centrally produce packs. I would be happy to pay for a pack if it is a cost concern.

There's an efficiency in centralising the downloading, printing and copying of material for students.

I support this Petition. This is nothing but a poorly disguised attempt to pass costs onto students.

I support this petition. I was also advised upon enrolling at MBS in May 07 that all course material was included in my subject fees. Does this mean my fees will now decrease?
