C H E E S E Y !!!
Listen to the fans and get rid of the mascot; we've been doing just fine without one !!!
and Steely McBeam. What in the hell is the image this crap is trying to promote? Its not funny or ironic, just plain stupid. We all hope you have the strength to recognize a bad idea and toss it.
I have always been proud that the Steelers are the one team in the NFL that has no need for any gimmicks, but rely on their talent and fan base to keep them going. NO MASCOT PLEASE!
The Steelers are a franchise built and survived through the fans. How can a mascot be justified? Mascots are used to entertain fan bases and boost support... Is this really a problem the Steelers are facing? The marketing department screwed the pooch on this one and should suffer the consequences. What's next, cheerleaders?
Cowher is gone...no need to make the mascot to look like him. Steelers don't need a mascot especially one that looks like it belongs on the Megan's law website
For the love of all that is good in this world, please make Steely McBeam go away. How can we be the toughest team in football and be respected by anyone with this as our mascot. In fact, just don't have a mascot. Period, end of story.
Just the dumbest idea to come out of Pittsburgh - ever. And don't even think of adding cheerleaders! It's bad enough they have cheer squads at hockey games now.
Makes a mockery of the Steelers and their fans. We don't need a Mascot. Although those throwback uniforms are awesome and should become our main jerseys.
the mascots name is terribly stupid the other mascot names are better i thout it was the pittsburg polverizer that was soooooo better than steelymcstupid
Sorry Mr. Rooney,I would die for the Steelers or the city. And I have always supported your Steeler related decisions. But, this name ruins everything we have stood for. Get rid of the Mascot
It matters not that he resembles Cowher (I'm greatful for all he's done for the team and wish him the best), but it's a simple fact: the Steelers do not need a mascot.
I have been a life long Steeler fan, and I must say that the sidelines of Heinz Field have no room for mascots or cheerleaders. We fans are passionate, and maybe a bit crazy. Regardless, the name
