As a Steelers Fan in sometimes hostile territory, I have to say that this horrendous abomination of mascot is not doing me any favors. Every time I look at his Cowher-like visage, my soul dies a little bit.
PLEASE DESTROY STEELY MCBEAM! The Steelers do not need a mascot. We are about football. And if someone in that front office EVER decides to hire Cheerleaders, I think I will swear off football FOREVER!
If you're against Steely you're against the Steelers, the city of Pittsburgh, and you're most likely a homosexual. Steely is funny looking and kids love him...which is the only reason mascots are around to begin with. You should all grow up and accept Steely for who he is and what he represents. I have been a fan since I was born on the North Side only ten minutes from Three Rivers as well as being a Steelers season ticket holder and I have seen the need for a mascot to attract fans. It will be just a distraction from the game that children should be learning to love rather than concentrating on some jagoff on the sidelines because he does stupid shit

My god, I thought they learned their lesson with Stevie Steeler in the 80s. Pittsburgh people actually go to the games to watch FOOTBALL. We don't need distractions such as cheerleaders and mascots because our team actually plays entertaining football and wins.
I hate the mascot, what's next cheerleaders!! Our focus has always been the game and the players and coaches, not sidelide shows!!! Get rid of the mascot for good!!!
