The memory of the steelworker that built Pittsburgh, along with most of America is the all the inspiration we need. That steelworker was our grandfather, father,uncle or neighbor and their proud history will live forever. We need to honor that history with respect and not turn it into a cartoon.

My family has had season tickets to the Steelers since they came up with the idea of season tickets (Starting with Grandpa, passed to my Dad, and now to me). Our team has a tradition of hard nosed, no frills football. This is why we don't have cheerleaders. I don't like the fact that we need to have a mascot that completely spits in the face of this tradition.
