You have cowardly abandoned this country's long tradition of support for international law and universal Human Rights. Shameful is not strong enough, the word is criminal, as in indirect complicity in war crimes. You and your government make me sick.

I support this petition 100%. In this post-cold war era, of democratization, its embarassing to see humanity still resorting to this scale of violence to resolve issues. Absolutely embarassing.
Shame on you Mr. Harper. I am appalled by the bias of your government against Muslims and Muslim countries as clearly seen in the self-serving shortsighted policy of your govt in Afghanistan and your support of the murder of innocent civilians in Lebanon and Gaza. I am ashamed of your govt.
The Israeli war on Lebanon is killing innocent civilians including women, children and the elderly. Canada must condemn these acts and call for an immediate ceasefire to end the hostilities.
The only question of "With us or against us" is peaceful means VS military solutions. Let our government display the Canadian values of fairness and firmness that has been our international reputation til now.
Canada needs to be a legitimate peace broker on the world stage and the Harper conservatives are severely compromising our ability to interact with foreign nations.
I reject terrorism no matter who perpetrates it. The terrorists in the Palestinian territories and the Hezbollah terrorists must be disarmed. However, Israel has now become a terrorist state as well, and as a fair-minded Jew, I cannot support Israeli terrorism any more than I would support Arab terrorism. What Israel is doing to the peace-loving country of Lebanon is nothing short of criminal and must be stopped. Canada must step-into it historic role as peacemakers and not warriors. Honest brokers are what is needed now, not increased and continued warfare by either side. Mr. Harper should be ashamed of himself for his blind support of Israel, nay, of George Bush's murderous policies.

War in any sense is wrong, we are raised in Canada to not tolerate violence agsinst our fellow humans yet when the conflicts are about money, land, oil, or religion we still tolerate it. why is this? what justifies the killing of any human being, why do we allow the support of wars that endanger all of our lives on the global level. there are eveil people in the world and they do need to be brought to justice, however war and un-just killing of innocents will not bring them to justice- blood begets more blood. human beings deserve to be treated like the most valuable comodity to be protected when tempers flare and war arises.
