I hope, Mr. Harper, that one day you come to understand as much as I have learned about the Israel /Palestine conflict since I went to the region in December of 2000. Is it asking too much that you know a little something before you act?
The big powers should come forward and arrange the cease fire. The Prime Minister of Israel should not act like Changez Khan and Halaku but he should think over it that he is shedding the blood of men, women, innocent children of all the religions by attacking Lebanon. What he will answer to almighty God for this unpardonable crime when he will be presented on the day of Judgment? He should think over it and give up his bad habit.
those who aid and abet these war crimes like the Canadian government are co-conspirators and should be made to answer and pay reparations for the destruction.
Mr. Harper, this is not the time for you to play these unjust games (your agenda is not shared by all Canadians). These are innocent civilians being hurt or killed. Shame on you for taking sides. Canada is a country of peace. You and you only have tarnished our image.
It is a true shame on Canada and it's Prime minster to loose it's stand with humanities when we were the strongest in this field amongst the United Nation... where is Stephen Lewis, John Humphrey, Louise Arbour and many others.
because there is no justification (and never should be) for "killing" a country over 2 soldiers. Is an Israeli life worth more than a Lebanese? How is Lebanon supposed to re-cover from total destruction? This is "measured action"? On what planet?
I am ashamed of the hypocrisy of the Canadian government in taking sides with Israel. Stephen Harper ignores the obvious fact that Ehud Olmert and the IDF are perpetrating acts of terrorism against the people of Lebanon. The international community's response has been singularly pathetic. Why do so few have the courage to push for an immediate end to aggression on both sides?
High time for one secular state of Israel-Palestine, with Muslim, Jew & Christian living side-by-side with equal votes, with the return of expelled Palestinians.
I support this petition because defending one's self isn't as worth as killing hundreds of INNOCENT civilians especially, when the "defender" is the 5th top military power in the world.
Stephen Harper does not represent me. I am opposed to this war targetting civilians. Women and children are dying. I am ashamed that Canada officially supports Israel's so-called "measured response." Has the world gone mad?
Your support of this war is in direct conflict with Canadian values. Your government policies do not reflect resposible or representative government; conntinued support of engaging Canadians in armed conflict will most certainly result in
Canadians taking action at the polls. Real leaders stand up to bullies.
M. Harper,

THIS IS WHAT CANADA IS!!!
Well said. Israel's "self-defence" has cost hundreds of lives in Lebanon, and many in Israel. This is outrageous and our government must change its position.
