I was in Southern lebanon when everything started. People I have known, for 20 years with no affiliation to any military, Die.(Canadians I might add.) You have alot of Blood on your hands Mr. Harper. Israel is a Terrorist State, that is trying to control Middle-Eastern Politics with Brute Force, Murder, and Extreme Violence.
I support this petition because so many innocent lives are being lost to Israeli barbarian tactics. Canada used to be known as a fighter for peace in the world- Harper's gov'e seeks to change that to bootlicking. Canadians support peace in the world!

A big mistake by a young and naive PM who seems to be more interested in being pro ... rather than standing on the age old Canadian principles. Your actions so far have only served to polarize our own population. As PM, creating such rifts among your own people should be the last thing entering your thoughts let alone the actions that we have seen of late. Good luck to you the next time you seek our vote!

What is happening to people of Lebanon is inhuman. Israel and the Hezbollah have been going back and forth for years. In Canada our neighbours may not share our same polical beliefs, and we do not assume that all neighbours are the same. These areas in southern Lebanon in which mostly women and children have been killed were said to have had Hezbollah soldiers but yet no shells or evidence of their exsitence was found, and yet Israel continues to bomb innocient viticms. There are more civillan causalties in Lebanon than there are Hezbollah causalties. Either the Israel intelligence is missinformed or they are just pointing the bombs and firing. Either way it needs to stop. Canada has the reputation of being sympathetic and humanitarian, and we are, what happened to "our" government. By supporting Israel you are not representing the the Canadian philosophy of Canada but that of the the US, and we all know how popular the US is in the eyes of the world.
Mr. Harper, I am frightened and disturbed by the way you have adopted Bush administration policies, inlcuding your attempts to censor media and abandoning Canada's role as a peacemaker and a moderator.
