We are living in very dangerous times. I'm extremely concerned about the words and behaviour of the world leaders. Please, Mr. Harper, do not lead us to war. Peace is the only answer.
A revamped democratic system must become an institution in Canada. It must replace this archaic, 19th century form we have now in the 21st century. A new system, with more stringent accountability measures, more effective voting mechanisms, and methods of insuring more accurate representation. If this happened then Harper would never have the power, let alone the courage, to say such disgusting utterances.

being a canadian citizen I beleive a prime minister has to represent in a non partisan way all of it's citizens.
since there are a great deal of lebanese as well as israeli citizens who are also Canadian,
I belive your policies should reflect those of one who has done his research.
I belive you are a good man, and if presented with truth, you would allow that to positively influence your views.
Mr Harper, please educate yourself on the recent 20 year history of the region. Your ability to act with true sense of justice depends on subtlety. Therefore please read, read ,and read more. Dedicate at least one hour of your busy day every day to studying background about this situation from a balaced viewpoint.
How does this disproportionate use of force agains innocent civilians and children reflect the values that our beautiful Canada stands for? Mr. Harper you are representing values of your own that have no affiliation to what this country stands for.
I supporet this petition. Mr. Harper, you are compromising the interests of Canada in the Midsdle East. Your official support for Israeli aggression that resulted in immeasurable losses and sufferring for civilians, wanton destruction of civilian infrastructure is totally against Canadian values.
Israel's actions are counterproductive for all peoples in the region including the Jews. It is a form of State Terrorism that has begotten other forms of terrorism and your government is now responsible in its pychophantic support for Israel.
Mr. Harper's support of this Israeli offensive is truly abhorrent. His support flies in the face of all that Canada stands for as a Peace Keeping Nation. I feel ashamed to be Canadian.
Maybe the cowardlly members of the Security Council, who back israel, need to be shown the pictures of maimed Lebanese babies writhing and screaming in pain that was shown on the BBC today (JULY 20th).

This shows that Mr. Harper is the true follower of the Reform Party, which had the lagacy of Many Hitler Hier" in its ranks. Now Mr. Harper supports the Genocidal attacks of Israel against the defenceless Lebonese people as "measured". Measured to creat terror and hovac. Mr. Harper does not have the mandate to rule. as it failed to make a gesture of Protest against killing of 8 Canadians by the Israeli War-Mongers.

Mr. Prime Minister you initially described the Israeli attacks in Lebanon as "measured." Since then Israel has excalated the violence against Lebanon. Why is the response by Israel considered "measured" when in fact it is totally out of proportion compared to the initial abduction of one Israeli soldier. If the abduction of one soldier justifies the terror Israel imposed on Lebanon, then the Israeli murders of seven Canadian citizens demands a strong response from you Mr. Prime Minister. You can be rest assured Mr. Prime Minister the wanton slaughter of Lebanese by the Israeli government and the invasion of Afganistan by the Canadian government will become issues in the next Canadian national election.
Mr Harper, I have also written you a letter on the subject which is now in the mail. Pay attention, and do what is right for Canada and for the world. Stop supporting and condoning Israel's violence.
