The PBS Kids Sprout network has fired an actress, Melanie Martinez because she appeared in two 30 second videos for technicalvirgin.com (currently inoperative) with dialogue PBS Kids Sprout called "inappropriate" that parodied teen abstinence programs.
As concerned parents we are outraged at the firing for something that was done seven years ago. We demand you reconsider you decision and give Melanie back to our children as part of the GOOD NIGHT SHOW.

Melanie was the first person my baby ever watched with bliss on TV. I'll never forget the smiles Melanie would evoke from my daughter. If she doesn't return, I will have no reason to turn on PBS Sprout again. Oh well, at least Noggin has high quality programming and encourages free-thought. |

Don't get me wrong I've always been a fan of both of them, but firing Melanie for being in a couple of video spoofs that were clearing a joke, especially considering they occured way before the tonight show is just plain unfair...PBS can forget about my $365 annual contribution for this behavior.
