I've previewed the videos that Melanie for "technical virgin". To my eyes they are completely innocent.. At least Misses Martinez's was not in the same as PEEWEE Herman's little adventure at the adult cinema...
So stop the injustice and please give her her job back

I am sad that now I have to explain to my three year old son that Melanie, his favorite person on Sprout, is no longer there. It is unfair to punish someone for something they did in the past. This has no impact on your programming and would not have affected any rating or viewership. Please bring back Melanie so we can all have a good night.
Bring her back. She was a wonderful hostess and should not have something she did seven years ago that wasn't a big deal jeapordize her career. I saw the videos and they aren't devestating. Look at what some of our world leaders have done while in office. Why are they able to keep their jobs?

Why would you fire Melanie Martinez over something she worked on years ago? I've seen the psa over the internet, and it has no bearing whatsoever on her current persona on Sprout.
Why would you allow Thomas the Tank to air when it is hosted by the likes of George Carlin and Alec Baldwin? Are you not aware of the profanity of George's stand upwork? Have you never heard a tabloid on Alec's domestic problems? Your actions send out a message to reinforce double standards on women and what should be 'perceived'[ and 'reflected' characterizations of girls/women. Whether it was intentional or not, your organization should be ashamed of it by now.
I'm a 35 year old mother of 3, ages 7, 3, & 1 who I USED to encourage watching PBS and playing on sproutletsgrow.com. Initially, you pioneered tv programming for the new millenium and impressed me by your choices to put out representation of Asian and Hispanic hosts. Firing Ms. Martinez has set back any hopes or progress previously made. I am reconsidering any future donations or support of public broadcasting because of this message you have sent to mothers like myself.
I dont like my children watching alot of tv, however, I let them watch the sprout because of her interaction with song, crafts, exersize and stories. I will not continue my subscription thru comcast if she is not returned to the program. Mabee I should let my kids watch a Goerge Carlin stand up act then explain how he does the voice for Thomas and Friends???
The Technical Virgin video is not as tasteless as any "work" by George Carlin (narrator of Thomas the Tank Engine), which can be easily found by my little girls.
Give Melanie her job back!
Dear Sir/Madam:
Certainly it is easy to sit in an executive office and frown upon Melanie Martinez rather innocuous and hungry exercise in free speach as she chased the American dream. But the real injustice is the termination of her career. Just as our children appreciate her good night wishes, we appreciate her growing up and becoming a loving successful part of our free world. Please bring her back and show that we all have more than just our 'rears' to cover. We have mutual hopes and dreams we all believe in. Including a country where we can grow up testing reasonable boundaries of humour and expression.
Our boys miss her very much.
I find it hard to believe that the targeted age group she was appealing to would even recognize some of her early work. its not like she had a sex video going around. i found the spoofed PSA rather funny the way I'm sure they were supposed to come out.
This is absolutely absurd. She appeared in a pretty standard college-film-student level production parodying PSA's.
I question the commitment to serving the public when they are so quick to act solely in the hopes of not angering a very small but very vocal group of critics.
