I support despite her relatively bad acting; which may just be over-acting to benefit the children. Regardless, what a lame reason to fire her (or anyone for that matter).
Kids have no access to adult media such as the comedy sketch done by Melanie. It's a shame you chose to take action because some adult may have taken offense to something obviously intended for an adult audience. Shame on you.

I viewed both of the videos and they look like simple college film school projects to me. Not only would my kids never see them but they would probably not recognize her or understand the content if they did. In fact, without the cartoon world and puppets, kids would not pay attention anyway. Give her the job back you sissies!!
PBS you are supposed to be "enlightened" and you behave like an intolerant third world religious organization. I am now boycotting the Goodnight Show until the retirn of Melanie Martinez.

I also hope this petition is given attention and consideration. It comes from your viewers, who are also your potential non-viewers. Your viewing audience, including parents of Sprouts viewers (although probably not the pre-literate Sprouts viewers themselves). We try to support PBS. Don't turn into something we can no longer agree to support.
I watched the videos. What is the big deal. Maybe we should see if there is some dirt on the people that fired her. Name one persone that doesnt have bones in there closet and i will show Mother Threasa.
Melanie made the Good Night a source of entertainment for my child. To fire her over the video (Which I previewed) is a complete over reaction by PBS. She deserves her job back.

My son absolutely loved her. He is only 3 and would never see that video and wouldnt understand it anyway. The audience is little bitty kids and they dont understand why she is gone. They would never see the video.
