My children have neither the means, nor the ambition to search the web for Melanie's "disgraces"... They liked her. Additionally, someone sent me the oh-so-offensive videos, and I laughed... and did not even recognize her even though I have seen her at great length as host of her show. Is this really the moral collapse of the world that we are to believe it to be? I was a stripper in college- perhaps I shouldn't even be allowed to HAVE kids...

My daughter loves Melonie and will miss her. This is something Melonie did in her past. Vanessa Williams years ago appeared in nude photographs and after Disney hired her, Sesame Street had guest stars that included Ray Charles, a former heroinatic. If Melonie is not rehired, I wish her only the best of luck and hopefully the publicity will become something positive for her instead of the stigma that PBS Execs obviously are wishing on her. My twins LOVE Melanie. I do too and what she did was not that bad. If everything I have ever done came back to haunt me the PTA would never forgive me! Give the poor girl a break. She is a positive role model on the Goodnight Show. She was a young girl at the time. We all make mistakes I wish all of mine were so MINOR!! Sesame street has had some pretty interesing guests! Singers with some interesting lyrics. Take Garth Brooks and his friends in LOW places. Saw him on sprout today!! My kids don't have access to that footage anyway. I have seen those before and never associated them with her. Didn't even know it was her until THEY brought it to my attention.
