My nephew loves Melanie. She is a bright ray of sunshine. Who didn't do things in their youth that were not in the best of taste? The only difference is that her is on film. It is mild compared to other comedians and actors that are associated with your programs.
Please bring her back.
PS: And her poneytail too.
THis is ridiculous. Many actors and actresses have done questionable things and still appear on childrens programming. This is wrong!! Bring Melanie Back!!
Listen, my son really misses this woman in the evening, and there are millions of kids who do. The show was awesome. Maybe some of you could repost this on myspace, et cetera wherever you can.
Everyone makes mistakes and what you are teaching our children is that mistakes you cannot make them because you will be severely punished. She came forward so I believe that her integrity speaks for itself. My grandchild absolutely loves her and it just does not seem the same without her. Please bring her back. Thank you.
Melanie made my 19mo old daughter laugh. Watching the good nite show was part of our nightime slow-down routine. PBS Executives get real. The shows on Sprout as well as Melanie's short video are forms on entertainment. I wouldn't let my daughter watch that video now, or in the near future, but that is not how we view Melanie. Melanie is the sweet friend who made our night a little more fun.
I have a child and I understand PBS' standpoint, but the parents are to blame if the kids ever see her mock videos. It does not make her a bad person or a bad role model. The parents can't complain too much. If they didn't like sex, there wouldn't be kids to watch The Good Night Show. Frankly, I would have never known about her videos had PBS not fired her.
I am a parent of 2 young children (2 years and 9 months) with one on the way. I've seen both 30 second parodies and think that they were actually pretty funny. It's not like she starred in a pornographic movie! It was a comedy skit she IS an actress for the love of God. Give the girl back her job!! I miss her on the Goodnight show!
