Melanie and the good night show was the best feature of sprout. It is my daughter and the thousands of other children that are hurting here. I pay extra to have sprout included in my channel lineup, so not bringing Melanie back will only save me money. Your choice fellas. Sign me a very concerned mother!

How ridiculous! Our 2 year old loves watching Melanine before bed and now he misses her. These videos have nothing to do with the great job she has been doing on the Goodnight Show.
My son Audun was asking me where Melanie had gone and I checked it out online. Read the story and was pretty blown away by what went on. Hypocritical nonsense and symptomatic of this country's decent into screwy cencorship and neo-fascistic corporate hegemony. Sprout should find a way to kill the ads though... And whoever decided that children couldn't stomach shows of longer than 15 minutes should get the chop bigtime...
My son is 18 months old. He doesn't know or care what a virgin is. All he knows is that Melanie is that he doesn't get to see her show before dinner and he is upset.
This is the most rediculous thing in the world.

Do any of us think that we don't have a 20 seconds from our past that we would like to erase? What was the context of the video? Had she been working on a boring project all day and just wanted to lighten up the set a bit?
I can'nt believe that someone would "can" her. Someone either needs anal sex or wants it. Lighten up, I had no problem useing that video to talk to my daughters about sex. Unlike the cathlic parents I had that told me nothing. It broke the ice and everyone knew it was'nt real. A very brave person in my eyes
When I read about this happening, I thought the network reacted too fast to assess what really took place. Look at the others who have done worse that are still in television. Marv Albert ring a bell?
My young son questions why Melanie is not on. The Goodnight Show is his favorite nighttime activity and Melanie is the only reason why he continues watching the Goodnight Show. Every night, he asks where is Melanie. What Melanie did is not cause for her dismissal. Bring back Melanie!
The executives at PBS are being ridiculous. Melanie was terrific at her job and whatever she did in college does not effective her ability to be the presenter of the show.
I will continue to boycott PBS sprout, for their ignorance. My children have since gotten very comfortable watching the Disney Channel. This will continue in our household, until I see Melanie again on the good night show.
MY little son enjoys Mis Martinez. How can you just take her off the air. Let's just be a bit real here. Do you realy think that a 18 month old child will get the wrong ideal? DO YOU?
