Why-o-why have you swapped M&M which is a popular and loved general entertainment channel by many with this quiz rubbish? Don't we have enough slots taken up by crap already? With all the crap already out their you could easily take them all down and give us High-Def before switchover!!!!
I'm sick of the quiz channels that we have already on freeview. Men and Motors offered a great mix of programs, all of which were very watchable. I will be emailing ITV about this terrible decision. BRING BACK MEN AND MOTORS! I support this petition.

I cant believe that the only reason I bought a freeview box for has been removed! What are they thinking of? Even though the lineup was reruns of programmes from 20 - 25 years ago, it WAS entertaining, unlike the tripe that is being broadcast on other channels.
MM needs to come back where it belongs and give some variety back to the air, otherwise I might as well throw my box in the bin!

ITV1 'most-watched channel in 2012'—Allen
ITV chief executive Charles Allen has predicted ITV1 will be Britain's most-watched channel in the era of digital-only broadcasting. In a wide-ranging interview with The Independent's Ray Snoddy, Allen denied running the commercial broadcaster was a case of managing decline.
"I don't think it will fall away in importance. ITV1 is the engine. It's 10m people watching our shows. It's 10m people being told: 'You can do this, you can play and you can pay.' I am very confident that ITV1 will continue to be the most watched channel, although its share will fall," he said.
Allen said acquisitions such as community site Friends Reunited and trials of broadband services in Brighton and Hastings were part of his vision for local services, supported by classified advertising, "absolutely competing with local newspapers".
By the digital switchover deadline of 2012 only 50% of ITV revenues are due to come from ITV1, up from 70% now, with the remainder coming from digital channels, broadband and mobile. I support this petition.

I am appalled by ITV's decision to pull M&M from the freeview line-up. Quality content is being replaced with utter rubbish aimed at exploiting gullible and in some cases vulnerable viewers.

ITV's latest digital channel, ITV Play, will launch on Freeview on April 19 and other platforms later this year, the commercial broadcaster announced today. The launch of ITV Play—which is expected to generate profits of £20m in its first year—follows call-TV formats Quizmania and Play Sudoko broadcast on ITV1 and ITV2 overnight in the last three months.
Headed by new channel controller William van Rest, who helped establish the participation TV sector at Optimistic Entertainment, ITV Play will launch with The Mint, a late-night compendium of live participation studio games, call games, puzzles, stunts and events. Forthcoming Play formats will include a Coronation Street-inspired 'Rovers Return' pub quiz featuring big cash prizes and soap star appearances.
ITV chief executive Charles Allen announced the launch of ITV Play after unveiling a 6% increase in ITV plc's annual revenues to £2.18bn and 42% rise in operating profits of £460m before exceptional items.
"We believe that ITV Play has enormous potential to lead the market for participation TV with higher production values, better programmes and bigger prizes," said Allen. "The Play brand will sit alongside ITV's existing family of channels as the place to find exciting, honest and entertaining original interactive programmes."
ITV aims to generate 50% of its total revenues from digital channel, interactive and internet activities by 2010, with the other half coming from flagship channel ITV1.
A target of achieving £150m in revenues from digital channels by 2007 was likely to be achieved a year early, allowing ITV to set a new target of £250m of multi-channel advertising and interactive revenues by the end of 2008.I support this petition.
I bought a freview box on the principle I could have this great channel for free. As of NOW I'm not going to watch any ITV channels again till M&M is back on Freeview!

I support this petition. Wouldn't say I avidly watch m&m but it has a few good things on it, certainly much better than nonstop quizzes. You only have to watch that crap that's on ftn, on weeknights from 10pm 'til 1am, to realise how dire this new channel is going to be!

I support this petition. i am a very keen watcher of men and motors and think itv have made a very wrong decision. why not just keep men and motors and add the itv play to another channel. after all there are plenty of free channels anyway.
Don’t worry ITV will soon realise that they made MORE MONEY with Adverts on Men and Motors than they will with this Quiz/Game channel, after all there is only so much money to go around, viewers will look at the new channel but will soon realise that it’s CRAP and it’s there.
