To replace a channel with this absolute garbage which preys on the vulnerable and is a waste of a valuable slot does nothing to support Digital Television.
A disgrace to bring in ITV Play, it will surely go the same way as the ITV sports channel did and give digital terestrial television a bad name again.

I support this petition wholeheartedly. I cannot believe this has happened. We are saturated with mindless Quiz channels anyway. M&M is unique and very watchable - though I know ITV must have the viewer profile completely wrong. Why else would they be advertising stupid ring tones and chatlines to an audience of middle class, married thirty and fourty somethings in the middle of Aufwiedershen Pet, Minder, The Sweeney, The Professionals and Used Car Roadshow?? ITV you are missing a trick here. You'll make far more money by getting the advertising right on MM than you ever will by conning poor unfortunates out of their state benefit payments with unwinable quizes
It totally sucks to replace a channel with some good content (used car roadshow in particular) with another crap quiz show to prey on the weak and stupid.
I support this petition.Looks like the viewer does not get a chioce, as long as ITV can make easy cash. Also we are being pushed to get freeview, but whats the piont most of the channels are not worth watching.

Disgusting decision. What happened to proper programmes? There'll probably be some saddos who'll rejoice in this and watch the quiz all day (probably the same people who read "Heat"). Bring back Motorway Patrol, complete with the bizarre New Zealand accent (Policeman: "D'ya know why yuv been stopped?" "Yeeee, I thunk I was spy-ding".

It seems ludicrous to me that a channel with actual content would be replaced by the kind of money grubbing tactics of these quizshows and their often impossible puzzles. ITV are losing money because their programming is terrible, that's what they should be investing in, not further degrading the state of TV.
Yet another channel number to add remove from the EPG along with 'Bid-up tv', 'abc 1' and all the other crap. Have ITV lost the plot or what, this is probably THE most cynical programme alteration in history - disgraceful!
We have enough of this sort of dross with QuizCall and the like. If there was some element of skill or knowledge involved with their "games", they may have some entertainment value. Sadly they are just a cynical device to extract money from the week-minded and week-willed.
The only way to defeat this latest dumbing-down of the Freeview platform is to appeal to the bank-balances of the ITV shareholders by making it a commercial failure.
I'll be deleting it from my Freeview box. I urge others to do the same.

The only channel that I really on watch on DTT other than the "Big 5" is Men and Motors.
I am extremely dissappointed that it has now been removed from DTT and will not be watching ITV play.

I support this petition. There's enough bandwidth wasting shopping/quiz junk as it is - at least M&M showed some "proper" programmes. "ITV Play" is just a pathetic attempt to raise revenue via cheap programming and premium rate phone ins - isn't there enough of that on ITV already?!

Absolutely gutted. The missus is also gutted. Been looking for places to moan about this travesty. M&M was just great for turn on and watch any time of the day. All the quiz channels are a waste of bandwidth
Freeview lacks decent channels and there are far to many shopping channels without filling it with RIP OFF PREMIUM RATE QUIZ TV. Then again the TV companies are only interested in money and profits and not quality!
