I support this petition. ITV Play hardly fits in with the Reithian ideal. Limited bandwidth should not be used to raise money, ultimately for the Government. These channles are esentially just another Lottery to make money for ITV and the government by stealth. In addition ITV Play uses two channels at night often, being on ITV1 too. If ftn, Quiz Call and the shopping channles are taken into consideration this is a lot of limited bandwidth being used up to raise money rather than provide entertainment. How much HD TV could be broadcast on this bandwidth?

I support this petition. For the UK's bikers M&M provided the only bike related programming outside of Sky, so I'm bitterly disappointed to have lost it. I watched a few minutes of ITV Play this morning and it's DIRE!!! Although most ITV Play viewers would need a dictionary to know what that means. There is nothing on these quiz programs that isn't available over the Internet, so leave TV to entertain!!!
