I think it is discraceful that what probably was the best channel on freeview has been replaced by yet another sh*te premium rate phone in quiz channel. M&M has some brilliant classic shows such as Auf wiedersehen pet and the professionals. What a complete waste of a channel. Yet another example of greed taking priority over providing a decent digital terestrial television service.
ITV Play is Tosh! Yet another money making scam from ITV as its running out of ideas so it fleeces the punters with premium rate phone quizzes with sub Z list presenters. I can see why its done it but why not have it and Men and Motors on freeview as well? WHY REPLACE M&M WITH THIS RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!
MM gave veiwers an informed choice, an alternative to the increasingly large amount of "novocaine" for the masses. ITV play is top quality "dumming down" programming. If this is more deserving of air time than Men and Motors, it's a sad indicator of the state of the Nation
BRING IT BACK TO DIGITAL !
Their advertisers are losing out, and so are we. Surely their audience survey figures will bear out the fact that their audience has fallen ? This in turn will reduce M&M's revenue stream. Come on, guys, see some sense.
men and motors used to be a refuge from the drivel we are dished out on a daily basis. maybe they didn't have the ratings to get decent money for comercial slots, maybr they had more viewers than they think they had. this is a bad move ITV sort it out.
money grabbing ********, this is not about what people want to see on tv, this is simply about money. men&motors is a channel many couples i know sat and watched in the eve (inc myself and wife) all the emergency services reality programs had us glued every night
me and my husband and most of my friends at work miss this program please if you can send me a form.there is to many quiz programs on,why take a good program off air bring it back now. julie
right on! M&M was by far the best Freeview channel and the coverage of the TT last year was superb.Bring it back on Freeview and take off the dumb ITVPlay stuff.
I think the ITV Play channel is the biggest waste of time going. The odds of being successful on it are so bad I'd rather bet on myself going to the world cup instead of Rooney!
Sort it out ITV, get M&M back on FV!
I think the impending shame of leaving behind decent television, in favour of broadcasting intellectually numbing garbage, will hopefully persuade them to bring back men & motors. -- I SUPPORT THIS PETITION.
Thanks ITV - not content with having ballsed up the platform with the ITV Digital/football debacle, you now see fit to replace what is a decent quality station with a cynical money-making outlet for the gullible - cheers..
Please bring back men&motors as I personally don't think you will have a lot of support for your quizzes as a lot of people will get wise and see it as another con to get money out off them by their phone bill.
one of the only channels i watched. had good old programs and new ones. replaced by crap quiz channel. must be cheaper to do this heard it cost 1million to run 20million in revenue big business wins again
