Sad loss of a fantastic channel. I will miss the reality programmes such as 999 Frontline. Another pointless quiz channel is just what Freeview didn't need. Replacing Men and Motors on FreeView with yet another 24 hour a day, send us your money “quiz” channel is utterly disgusting. ITV’s standards have been slipping for a long time now, but this is almost too insulting for words. I can almost hear the marketing consultant in-speak and mean-nothing-sounds-impor tant jargon ringing in my ears as I stare at the blank space where the only ITV channel actually worth watching now stands; ominously resigned to the sickening truth about the state of British television. It should be the duty of a so-called mature broadcaster to uphold certain standards in the free-to-air space, if only to keep the likes of Murdoch out. I support this petition. Lowest common denominator TV - yet again - at least M&M had some original and old classic programmes. Replacing it with phone up quizzes, with premium rates - disgusting, irresponsible, I could go on.

Well, that's one less channel on my EPG - Absolute ribbush waste of space will be going the same place as Quizcall or whatever it's called and the crappy shopping channels. M&M was actually quite watchable at times... ITV, you really are the lowest common denominator.

I loved the real-life shows on M&M like Trauma. ITV Play is just plain rubbish and which is essentially a gambling show should not be on TV for kids to access 24 hours a day. I wouldn't mind if they had replaced M&M with something that is actually good and not just some rip-off 'quiz' show featuring talentless 'hosts'. I hope ITV rots in hell. I absolutely support this petition. I have emailed ITV to complain about this crazy decision, this was their reply: Thank you for your recent email. From the 19th April, ITV Play will take the slot currently being used by Men and Motors on Freeview. Men and Motors will continue to broadcast a strong schedule on Sky, Telewest and NTL. ITV has limited capacity on the Freeview platform and we have to take decisions based upon the capacity available. In this instance we believe ITV Play represents the best commercial use of this capacity on DTT. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused to our viewers. It's bad enough that channels like FTV are now replacing established programmes with these cheap, several-hours long, shows designed so that broadcaster can screw money out of its viewers without ITV coming along and creating channels *dedicated* to the irresponsible practice. More annoyed and outraged than I've ever been over what is *allowed* on the Freeview platform by the regulator and ITV Play will end up in the my receiver's recycle bin along with all the useless commercial tripe (ie. auction channels) that are a complete waste of Freeview resources too.

I support this petition. Men and Motors was my favourite channel. I quess the writing was on the wall when Cash quiz etc became part of the program time table. Personally I feel this is quite a grave mistake and i for one will not be watching or partaking in the new quiz channel. Is the revenue generated by advertising that poor that you need to can decent programs which, lets be honest, were mostly repeats. Repeats that people like myself thoroughly enjoyed! It is a shame that we will no longer be able to enjoy them with out a subscription.

I havent been this dissapointed since I noticed ITV had put tacky cheap crap quiz shows on all through the night on its ITV 1 and 2 channels and then to get rid of MM on freeview is awful why not just buy another channel placing and keep mm on, I for one will never ever look at itv quiz channels ever I hope others dont either.
