Maple High School's Cafeteria should lower their prices. The food prices are continuously increasing forcing us to spend more and more money. Either the taxes aren't enough or the school is being forced to run on profit from the cafeteria. They are frequently having price jumps and they are slow but frequent. The change was acceptable in the beginning but now is very unacceptable. The price rose by $0.25 last year on food items and slowly the price of almost all products was $0.25 higher by the end of the year. This much was acceptable except it continued. The price then jumped another $0.25 close to the beginning of this year. Not to stop there it jumped another $0.25 on a lot of items after the March break of this year.

Some INTERESTING price facts etc:

CAFETERIA PRICES:
-the cookies costs went so high that a petition had to be called for!
-everyone silently argues but nobody has the courage to say anything about the rising cafeteria prices!
-a while back a can of PEPSI cost a dollar ($1) which now costs a dollar and a quarter ($1.25).
-a bottle of PEPSI which was once at the price of $1.25 went up to $1.50 and is now at wallet crunching $1.75. A slow but great change. For example if you were to buy a bottle of pop each day at the price of $1.25 for 365 days it would cost you $456.25. Amazingly at the price today of $1.75 it would cost you $638.75 a wallet crunching extra $182.50!
-recently the price of a chicken burger from $2 has gone up to $2.25. You can do the calculations for the year.
-the chicken burger now has also recently got smaller patties and smaller buns.
-the pizza is claimed to be from the “Pizza Pizza” branch yet it seems to be specially ordered extra thin crust to be cheaper. Sometimes it seems burnt and hurts to eat, not always!

well we have standard school lunch rate of 2$ and i think thats fair.. u can get lunch, deli, make ur own slad bar, or homemade pizza (usually good) all for the 2 dollars.. but drinks are outrageous.. last year u could get a snapple for $.85 {middle school} now im in highschool and they are $1.50.. go figure almost 1$ change!
