My sister has two pitbulls and they are the most loving creatures ever. It
would be a very hard thing to imagine that these two would hurt anyone.
Pitbulls are only agressive because their owners train them that way. It is
not the dog's fault that they are taught to harm. I think that
those who teach them should stop depending on a dog for safety and learn to
stick up for themselves...stop being a baby. These dogs are beautiful and
should be allowed to experience a good life. |

My best friend has a beautiful pitt and he loves my children!!! I have 4
boys ages 13, 9, 6, and 4 and each of them play with that dog just like it
is part of the family!!! There are women and men that kill or hurt their
children.....but they are still allowed to have more!!! Yet you want to
take the right away from a person to have a certain type of dog!! That is
just ridiculous!!! They are just beautiful dogs and if they are taught
correctly....there very loving animals!!! |

me and my husband happened to pass by a stay dog a few weeks ago and we
couldnt just drive away so we stopped. That sweet girl just ran up to us
and licked all over us thankful someone stopped to save her.... she was a
pitt bull.... and that was the greatest thing i have ever done... shes my
baby and would never hurt anyone ... please dont hurt her or others like
her |

Pitbulls, like most animals, are generally good-natured. It's the
people who abuse them and breed them for fighting that are to blame. This
is just another in a series of attempts to solve a problem by taking the
easy way out. I, for one, feel that anyone who could honestly condone the
slaughter of an entire breed of dog, or any animal, is a pathetic excuse
for a human being. This has to stop. |

First off, I work at a vet and anyone there will tell you that they are
more afraid to go into an appointment with a dachsund or chihuahua than a
pit bull...why ? because pit bulls are not naturally mean...they are MADE
mean...by who?? PEOPLE...so how bout next time a pit bull attacks someone,
we find the owner and euthanise them !!! lol jk but for real Im totally
behind this petition and would move to another country before someone takes

pitbulls are not violent animals!! i have had a few pits and still have
one, and i trust my dog with my 4 year old- better than i do people!! my
son as a baby has taken a 30lb. pipe wrench and wacked him in the head- has
poked his eyes- just being a bratty child all in all and my dog just wags
his tail and walks away- and to this day i dare anyone to try and hurt that
baby, over my dogs dead body. it is all in the way you raise and train your
dog- HATE THE DEED_ NOT THE BREED!!! there are viscious dogs attacks all
over the worl happening all the time- but you only hear about pitts for
some reason- punish the people- not the animals!! how can you just kill off
such a beautiful breed of mans best friends that have been around for
centuries?? beautiful animals- kill the ugly ass chiwa- things, those are
some evil ass dogs or those chow dogs- or mutts- not pitts!! |

Pitt bulls shouldn't be punished for the actions that have been
taught to them my their owners.....My best friend and her family recently
lost their pitt bull and he wa the most loving dog !!!....a mistake was
made and now he is gone!! Long live Bocephus and long live all pitts!! |

I think the owner of a fighting pit should suffer not the pit. The pit
didnt train himself to be a fighter the owner did. Why would someone want
to punish a dog for something he had no control over. SAVE THE PITS!!! |

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE THINK THAT PITBULLS ARE SO VIOLENT. ITS NOT
THE DOGS FAULT IF THEY ARE NOT TRAINED TO BEHAVE PROPERLY...THE OWNER
SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR TRAINING THE PITBULL. JUST BECAUSE THERE ARE

I completely agree. A pitbull should be able to live a long and healthy
life without being discriminated against because of some coldhearted owners
stupidity. Pitbulls...if taken care of and trained properly, are some of
the smartest,friendlest and well-behaved dogs out there. I have a pitbull
named Babygurl(2 years old) and she is my bestfriend and i love her to
pieces! She isnt violent but she is a wonderful watch dog...she will bark
and alert me when anything out of the ordinary is going on. She has a very
keen sense of hearing which im grateful for where i live. She loves all
people once i introduce her and then she might lick you to death! lol She
is a spoil rotten pup and she loves it! I have so much fun playing ball
with her and taken her out on the boat or jetskii. She loves taken walks
and going to PetSmart...lol..cause she gets treats and lots of attention
from everyone because she is so well behaved! She can also make you laugh
because she can be a total clutz at times which she probably gets from me!!
hehe Im so close with her i can understand what shes thinking most of the
time from her facial expressions but most of the time she has a smile on
her face so you know shes a happy dog! lol Well...I love my Baby and i dont
know what i would do without her. She gives me the happiness that only a
bestfriend can give! |

i love pitbulls so much. my cousins pit was shot and killed cause he was
protecting her from a stranger. i have threated pitbull owners myself not
to fight their dogs or i was takin legal action against them for animal
cruelty. the pitbull breed does not need to be punished. its the owners
that train to fight these dogs that need to be punished. my pit is so
loving. he is full blood american and his name is Bocephus and i will do
anything for him as he wud for me. |

I support this sooo much. I love the breed and I want nothing more in my
lifetime except to change peoples views on pitbulls, these dogs are so
loyal and gentle just as long as the are raised with the love and affection
they deserve. I love my pitbull Nevaeh... she is so precious and loving, i
dont understand why anyone could possibly want to ban this breed... those
people are truly ignorant and have never even been in contact with a
pitbull because if they had then they too would know what we all know, and
its pretty sad that those people can honestly try to ban this breed when
they know abo****ly nothing about how great and precious these dogs are...
i just pray that i never have to give up Nevaeh to the goverment for them
to euthinize her just for being a pitbull... that is so wrong and
inhumane... I love all of the pits... good and bad, they all deserve a life
full of love. |

I support this more than anything, me & my BFFE, (marissa who signed)
are definetly trying to make people realize how wrong it is to discriminate
against such beautiful creatures, who are like any animal or human.
If they are raised to do one thing, that's what they will know.
I.E fighting.
They are TRAINED to fight.
TRAINEd.
Obviously it is US who is doing something wrong.
I have a beautiful loving pit who is going on 11 yrs old right now.
We've had him since he was 6 months & he is the most loving
animal I know.
Me and Marissa recently lost a pitt to insurance, her name was sweetheat,
and she was AMAZING.
when we had to get rid of her, we cried.. we still are upset over her
& we just want her back before she ends up in a dump, or death.
I am spreading this petition around,
even though I am only 15.. I am not dumb.

i think this is so great that ppl are tryin to save the pitts im also tryin
to im gona start up a petetion and stuff and get as much info as i can
about how great pitt bulls really are and im gona rite a long letter to the
goverment and who ever i have to te try to save them and im only 15 years
old and i also used to have a pitt she was amazin she was 6 moths old wen
my mom made me get rid of her bc she herd all the bad things about them and
she didnt want her to turn on me and i understand she was thinkin of me and
stuff but i no she would of never turned on me she was my best friend i
mean ya i do amdmit she kinda did have an agressoin side but not to me or
my family only to ppl she didnt no that well and if they tryed to goof
around wit me ya no like teenagers do like just playin around hittin and
stuff not hard or nuthin but all she would do is come sit infromt of me and
growl a lil bit so they would no not to do it again like she was protecting
me but i mean any dog can do that all she was doin is tryin to keep me safe
and be loyal to me but she never attacked anyone and i no if it ever came
down to it were i really did need help and i couldnt do anything myself
like u no wat i mean if someone was realy hurtin me or if some one every
tried to rape me or something then i no she would attack but any dog would
to protect there owner but they are great animals they should be treated
fairly just like any other animal should be i was so heart broken wen i had

I own a dog, her name is Ryely, she's an American Pitbull. She is 3
years old. I have never seen a dog more determined to be accepted as a
"human" before. We love her so much. If they come to
take her they will have to take me to. CAUSE I AM NOT LETTING GO! Keep up
