Ever since misty left the show, it just hasnt been as good. I found her and ash's antics amusing, and she made a much better female character for the show than the newer characters like dawn and may.
I support this petition. i'm only 14, i wasn't even ALIVE when pokemon first came on. but i saw misty as a role-model. i wanted to be just like her. i am who i am today BECAUSE of misty. when i turned 7, i had my hair cut in one way for the sole purpose of looking like misty. i found out very quickly that the ponytail could not be acheived very easily. even today, my favourite characters are the tomboys, all because of misty. everyday, i use something misty taught me. everyday. i turned my tv off when she left, and now i dont watch it at all. just the computer and dvds. bring her back, and you'll get me watching tv again, i assure you.
I support this petition, I love love love love love Misty. I could go on and on about how she adds to the show. But many other people have covered this for me already~ <3 I bought the seasons of Pokemon up until Misty left because after that the show doesn't interest me anymore so much.. So I'd like Misty to come back so I can start buying pokemon DVDs again! <3 Misty was an empowering female lead who needs to come back! Oh god, I totally support this petition. Seriously, I refuse to watch any of the new shit. Dawn and May are, to put it simple, stupid. Misty was one of the only reasons I watched Pokemon. She was part of my childhood, I grew up with Pokemon, and I've always adored Misty. Please bring her back. I'm stuck watching my old videos of Kanto/Johto, and I'd love to see Misty back! First you take her off the show, then to make it worse.. take her Togepi away? Her baby? Augh. At least let her have her /friends/ back. Anyway, sorry for my rant. Just. Bring her back!

I support this petition. Please bring Misty back. Without Misty, the show is going to crumble. The basic outline of this show was to learn that no dream is impossible and to have the characters have relationships with each other. Taking away Brock meant losing a lot of fans. Do you really want to lose all of the fans you have left? Then please, bring Misty back. We all know that only Misty will cause the flames in Ash's heart to start burning brightly again. Please bring Misty back.
I support this petition. The original Pokemon series was founded upon two major concepts: The dream of training to become a champion and the interpersonal relations between the original characters. The writers were treading on shaky ground when they first tried to remove Brock from the series. Nevertheless, the relationship between Misty and Ash was strong enough that the new character Tracy could be adopted into the group. When they made the mistake of trying this in reverse, removing Misty but keeping Brock, the group dynamic began to fall apart. Since Brock was a character played mainly for laughs, his absence, while jarring, did not upset the core premise of the show. Misty, having been developed far greater both as a character in her own right and as a friend of Ash, could not be taken away without destroying the dynamic that made the show great. The resulting decay in the show is telling. To counterbalance the loss of the series' most stable character, Ash had to become less of a dreamer and so lost his magnificence of a character to the necessity of facing reality. Likewise, he ceased to change as he could no longer grow as a character. As his dynamicism broke down, so did the plot of the series. No longer impassioned by his unrealistic dreams of being a Pokemon master and having too many victories to realistically be expected to loose except to other champions, Ash became a hopeless case. For plot reasons, he could never truly get stronger. He could not grow as a person. He could not acheive his dream nor be oblivious to the near impossibility of it. Thus was the result of removing Misty. By removing such a key character, this chain of decay was set into motion. Without Misty's grace and charm, the series became static and so did the main character. For all these reasons and more, I support the bringing back of Misty to Pokemon.
Misty made the show so much better. It isn't the same without Misty pulling Brock's ear, and him away from Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny! Also, If she doesn't come back for good, just a one-time appearance, and maybe a love-scene with Ash!

I support this petition. Honestly the new characters are all great and all (May+Dawn) ftw but having her gone is sort of leaving a gap and should make the group much more interesting.
