Please do not move forward with the proposal to allow DirecTV to seize exclusive rights to MLB Extra Innings. This move will make out-of-market baseball games unavailable to all but a tiny fraction of the fanbase. Many fans have no choice regarding their cable or satellite providers, and they should not be penalized for having no access to DirecTV.

We the undersigned wish to see In Demand retain the ability to make the games packages available to cable providers like Time Warner and Comcast.

Another example of baseball taking their fans for granted. I've been a lifelong fan, spending money on apparel, MLB extra innings, and tickets to games. Now to force your loyal fans to switch providers in order to enjoy OUR national pastime is despicable.

As a Dish network subscriber it is unfair and inpractical financially for us to switch to DirectTv. MLB EI is a big part of our lives. This not the way to treat fans.

MLB is not about you, not about FOX, not about Murdock, not about players, not about money money money, it is about baseball and baseball fans. Mr. Commissioner you are stickin it to us again.

I love baseball and I love the Reds - but switching providers to support them feels like extortion. This is an awful decision and I hope you're very happy without my money.

Please keep MLB Extra Innings on cable. Baseball is our great American pasttime. It should be available to all of us. Baseball can't afford to lose any more fans.

I had Directv out to my house yesterday. Because of the trees that surround my house, the technician told me that he could not install the dish. For the past 5 years I received the MLB package on my Comcast Cable. But now I can't the package at all. Alan

The appalling decision of MLB to grant exclusivity of the Extra Innings package to DirectTV will result in the exclusion of millions of baseball fans from seeing their favorite teams. This is shortsighted in the extreme on the part of MLB. They should be doing all that they can to increase the numbers of its fans, rather than chasing the quick dollar. I hope that the extension of the negotiating deadline will result in an agreement that will allow so many of baseball's strongest fans to continue to enjoy this sport, no matter who they root for and where they live.

Is against the law this kind of monopoly. Is fair to all the fans to have multiple choices; not only one that in most places is unavailable to watch the games. Please make a deal with Indemand and Dish network

I am a rabid Yankees fan in Tampa and despite what Direct TV says - summer afternoon storms and satellite TV just don't mix. Besides, I should not be forced to change cable companies in order to see my Yankees play. Yes I could give MLB even more money and purchase the MLBTV package but I would much rather watch games on a 52" TV as opposed to a 13" computer monitor. And quite frankly all of the comments about how only a fraction of the fans will be affected is insulting. We are your most passionate fans- you should be bending over backwards to keep us happy.

I moved across the country from AZ to Kansas City. Since we moved here, we were able to watch the AZ Diamondbacks. Please keep baseball on digital cable!
