My fondest childhood memories are of laughing at my older brother while he failed time and again at crossing the rooms with the noisy disappearing/reappearing blocks that are in every mega man game. I would love to laugh at him some more in a brand new one. :>
My room mate and I talk about this all the time. There needs to be a game that connects the original to the X series. Not only this, but there also needs to be one that connects the X series to the Zero. In any case, Mega Man 9 would ultimately rock.
ive played megaman all my life and i figured out this year(2006) that zero is the one to kill megaman and wish for the game with that story to be released so please make the game to ensure the world know "THE TRUTH"

This game is desired by any megaman fan, either of the original or the X series, or the Megaman Zero series. Fans who follow the story lines need closier on the subject on what happened to Megaman, and is Protoman really Zero?
megaman was a great series, but ended to quickly, I don't believe megaman 9 would end the series though, zero could be officially introduced in a new game.

Plus, seeing Zero in an origional megaman game should be interesting. Robot master? Boss? Generic enemy? WHAT WILL THEY DO?!?!?! The world may never know...unless they make the game.
I upport this petition because, you never really know what happened to Megaman and what mad Magaman X and Zero and if they are smart they will tie all this in even with the Zero Story with the elf wars that would be bad ass if they did that. All they need is to make the story line great and they got them self at MegaMan and X on top again.
to tell you the truth i really dont know how you can just skip the most important part of the story. i mean i have been playing the games for a while now and everytime i dont know how zero came in. i support this petition cause some one cut out a piece of the story, a very important piece.
first of all im a HUGE megaman fan and i think that there should be a megaman 9 cause it has to do alot with zero and i also want to know what happened to rush,tango the cat,beat,protoman, trebel, bass roll and the rest.....what happened to WILY, cause he seems to work with sigma in megaman x6 and i wanna know the connection with megaman battle network and the connection with megaman legends
because of Megaman 9's potential. Not only could the classic series be closed, saving Capcom a lot of possible flac, it could also (maybe, but it would be a stretch) foreshadow future events.
I dont think Dr wily will be defeated on this one, instead mm9 will have Zero playable as you kill all the good robots such as megaman,protoman,duo and even bass MUAHAHAHAHAHA

I support this petition. Capcom has been focusing too much on creating new spin-offs for Mega Man and re-making old games. They should continue the original series (not end it) on GBA or DS starting with MM9. They should just take it easy on Battle Network and Zero for awhile. That would bring back a lot of fans if they put more effort into the original series again. No cutesy graphics like Mega Man Powered Up either! MM7 or MM8 style graphics would be perfect.

I support this petition. I would love to see the events that lead to the first X game. I am a huge fan of the series and it would be nice to close the book on the first mega man series. To Steven: you're wrong. It's a common belief that MM9 = MM&B, but that's false. The only reason people believe MM&B to be MM9 is because the ROMs were named as such. But there's no proof that MM9 is MM&B. So perhaps you may want to retract your statement.
