Half-way through high school, I need to start saving money for college, transportation, and, the cliche for young teens, recreational spending. I'm almost 16 and have been searching for a job for a long time but opportunities are scarce for workers at such a young age. Having a job also can teach us about "the value of a dollar" and how much work it is to balance a jopb and school, something everyone must experience, so why not get a kickstart on it?
I don't think that there are enough jobs for 15 year olds besides baby sitting and mowing lawns and more should be out there beacuse most of the jobs are for 16 and up but younger teens need jobs also.
Im a 15 yearold girl and i have a baby girl on the way and i need money to get my baby what she needs b.c her daddy sayed that its not his but whatever...... i think if your 15 and you wont to work and get money we should be able to get a JOB:):):)
Why is it that 15 year olds aren't able to work. We need money as much as the next guy. Plus we can be more responsible then most adults. Why shouldn't the younger generation be able to work???
im 15 turnin 16 in 12/15/89. i wont get my license till may of 2006 :( i just need a job, so i can save up for my car for next year.. and so i can have spendin money every now and then :)

ive been looking for a job for almost 2 years and im still unemployed. i feel that we, as 15-year-olds are just as mature or maybe even more mature than alot of these adults and we should have the right to work if we want to!!! besides, i really need a job. im tired of beibg broke.

15-year-olds deserve jobs just as much as everyone else with jobs.There are a lot of things that I want and I am unable to get them because it is too expensive. The money that my mom would spend on me, can go to something else like a bill for example. If I had a job, it wouldn't be this way. Another reason I need money is to pay for things in school. I participate in extracurricular activities, so therefore I need to pay for uniforms, trip fees, and much more. So as you can see, teens need money just as much as the adults.

I am 15 and i have been lookin for a part time job for months but no one will employ me because you need to be 16 and over or 18 years of age. I would love to have a summer job, like in the holidays because it would set my mind off Revising. I have tryed washing cars and baby sitting but i wont something else something with more responsablities!!!
I am 15 years old and I still can't find a job. Every job that I want to really work at they either have to be 18 or 16 and older(there aren't that many). I would rather make my own money and be more responsible then always begging my parents for money. Teens these days are really expensive and parents don't always have the money to give them because all the moneys goes to bill's, fee's, debt's, payments for house etc. I wish there could be at least more job opportunities for us 15 year olds. Also we can be more responsible even more for the future. We should at least get a chance in a part-time job to get started because school is in the way but thats ok because when we get older we can get real career that we can stick with for our lifetime.
I am 15 and i have been looking for a job since i was 13...ok my sister is almost 17 and she can hardly get a job cuz she is TOO YOUNG....i am not young...o yea i can baby sit...i get a lot out of that, i am responsible, and if adults trust me enough why cant they trust me to serve trys...be a waitress or seal ice cream...or work in a super market...ok i use to do that when i was five when i went to the super market with my mom, and i did a heck of a lot then those 18 year olds... or seal clothing at a clothing store you have to be 18 what am i suppose to do for money!!!
Its hard enough trying to find a job that takes under 16s but then trying to fit it round studdying as well! Nightmare! We need people to understand that we need the money but flexiable hours too. Its so unfair!
I am 15 and lets face it, teens our age need money. My parents do not give me an allowance and I buy my own clothes. Go figure. I find change on the floor, roll it up and bring it to the bank. This has to stop and I need a job! I've been looking for one since I was 13 and still, nothing. We can always babysit and I heard that you can work as a florist or a bagger at your local grocery store, but 15, 16? Whats the difference. This is just as stupid as the driving age. 16-18? How does that give you time to mature? We're all teens the earlier you start us with jobs the better we'll be at them when we're adults. We'll also be better at finanancing! Common sense. Let us work.
Ive tryed finding jobs on the internet and everywhere but nonone seems to want to employ peeps under 16 its difficult because i cant keep askin my parents for money cause its not fair. there should be more offers to peeps our age. i cant wait till im 16 its rediculous
MAny employers don't hire 15 year olds because it is too much of a hassle. If I want to perfect my macin' skills, ill need some loot. For clothes, car, fur. etc.
They usualy don't hire us because they think our shcool gradeed will go down and we'll be over worked etc. But comon! My parents don't give me alounce and i work like crazy at home. I need money or I don't go anywhere. I'm a Christian and i love goingto youth cofrances. THEY GET EXPENCIVE! How do they expect me to go if I can't get a job? And I can't bye clothes and I can't bye Christmas or birthday presents! It's so not fair.
I think 15 year olds should be able to work. I mean most of us are trying to get ready for our license and we need to work to pay for our cars and stuff..
i recently went into town to look for work, i may only be 15, but i am hard working. if the law wont let us get a job then they should pay us for going to school like they do for people who go to college, that way we wont need to get a job because we will be recieving our own money. my mum is sick o death of me sponging off her!!!!! i need my own money to spend how i like!!

I think 15 year olds should be able to work. All the older people that can work don't but us who want to work can't cause we're to young that ain't fair.

I totaly agree with who ever said that 15 year olds should get jobs i think you should give us a chance i hate these people who say we shouldnt my friends who are 15 and some of them have jobs. Paper Rounds Suck. I think the law should be changed some of the smartest people are 15 years of age.
im so pissed cause all the jobs im tryin to apply for say u have to be 16 or older, and i need money badly....wtf? i think that it doesnt matter how old or young you are, as long as u know u can handle the job
Harsh words, Dan, but probably true. We're young and inexperienced, and are not to be trusted with difficult or complicated jobs. However, you should have no trouble finding a simple job, especially now that Summer is right around the corner. Me, I'll probably be working at a textile store.
Of course, I live in Sweden. Chances are that things are different where you live.
Don't you have some sort of intern periods in school where you live? Those are usually great opportunities to kiss up to your boss and hopefuly get welcomed back.
Child labor was made illegal for a reason, though. It has to be controlled so that parents don't take advantage of their children. School and social life need to come first whilst a person is growing up.
