I totally agree. I'm thirteen and I definetly need a job. I like to be independent. It gets old asking for money to buy CD's and gum ect. Well I say if we are held responsible for chores and behaving like a young adult shouldn't we get some of their privleges? I think we should! We are not asking them to do a anarchy or commit murder, but it is also helping us learn to be a better adult so we can one day support families and learn to be a good, honest, hardwoking citizen. But if we behave we are just being good and if we misbehave we aren't acting like a adult. My parents said if I want to be treated like a adult then I should act like one. well been there done that didn't get anywhere. So they need to listen to us, because some are more wild than others and might start riots. Believe me they started a riot the other day for something like that. But don't beacuse we aren't going to get our way if we act llike that.

i agree i've got a month to wait till i'm 16 and i need a job. But its hard when everything you can apply for is aged 16 and over. Teen pregnancy is never going to come to a stop so the law and government should stop expecting it to.It's just part of nature.But if younger teens could get decent paying jobs then it would'nt be so hard to afford having children at a young age and less babies would be abandoned,put up for adoption and there would be less abortion, which I am strongly against.There are many teen parents in this world and especially in this country who are indeed very good parents and capable of raising a child. This being the case, I think it makes perfect sense to believe that the younger teens are also capable of having a job.

Teens 14 and over should be allowed to work! Adults constantly tell teens that they need to be responsible, but when they try to do something responsible such as get a job, they can't because of law restrictions against age and other things. I am 19 years old, but when I was 15 I couldn't find a job anywhere and I know what that struggle is like. Some adults expect teens to spend their earnings on clothes and accessories and other items that they don't necessarily need. But if you give a mature teen a job (no matter their age) they are most likely going to spend their money wisely and either save it or use it for something they really do need. Letting younger teens work can also benefit society in general. They can give money to parents struggling with bills,give to charities, etc. and having a job can let the younger generation see what the "real world" is like. I think it is a very good idea to let teens work at a young age. It's a good learning experience and worth a try.
